Bush's speech backdrops=more and more cartoony
So, is it me or has it been getting progressively worse? His backdrops are getting bigger, weirder, busier and brighter. What Pavlovian response are they hoping for with this? And why now must the topic of the speech be spelled out onstage in letters bigger than the man saying them? And who is the freak show designing these monstrosities???

35. What's "multi-level type?"
I'm not sure what you mean, but I used the standard text tool in Photoshop Elements 3.0... damn! if only I had the full version of Photoshop and the entire Creative Suite! I bet there are a lot of cool tools I could use! :D

38. In the word "Obey" for example, it looks like there are 3 layers. Is it
just beveling using the beveling options under "Layer Options" on the type?

39. In this case, it's just beveling using the beveling options.
I do often use multiple layers for the type too, depending on the effect I'm trying to achieve. :)

9. Yeah, that's funny. But I think it's probably more like
some Rove protege who thinks that the blatant symbolism just MIGHT win people over to the Bush mindset. Good luck--that stuff looks like a train wreck.

That rivet pattern backdrop is one of the crappy .bmp patterns that came with the old Windows desktop wallpaper. I sh*t you not. It looks identical.

15. All of the Bush administration's public actions are based on
a marketing paradigm. Their presentations are "promotional advertisements" for their nefarious "products". They consider all Americans to be their "customers" and operate under the assumption that most are stupid.

23. As far as I can tell, Bush is a conduit through which his
handlers practice their black arts of marketing. I don't spend much time thinking about Bush as an individual. He was just a convenient
tool for those behind the scenes.
