AP--During his recent speech on Iraq, President George W. Bush surprised onlookers when he suddenly went into a "Rusty Tin Man" impersonation. Pressing his face into two microphones to help impede his speaking ability, the President could be heard uttering, "mmmm mmm mm mmmm," in what the White House later described as an impersonation of the Tin Man's first words from the movie, "The Wizard of Oz." According to the movie's script, the character's words are inaudible due to rusting of the jaw. The White House declined to say why the President would do such an impersonation considering the importance of his speech, but some people close to the President believe he shares similar characteristics with the Tin Man. "It's not hard to figure: the President simply identifies with the Tin Man," remarked one White House staffer, "The Tin Man wanted oil and so does the President."
