Hastert: "The Democratic Leader is playing politics with the war in Iraq"

http://releases.usnewswire.com/GetRelease.asp?id=57410

"Unfortunately, Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi has added a new twist to Democrats' retreat and defeat policy for the War on Terror. Now, it's bait and switch. Just 12 days ago, she was among 403 House members to overwhelmingly reject a proposal for immediate withdrawal in Iraq. Now she is endorsing the Democrat proposal for immediate withdrawal of U.S. troops in Iraq. Today, she told reporters, "I will be supporting the Murtha resolution," which proposes that 'The deployment of United States forces in Iraq, by direction of Congress, is hereby terminated and the forces involved are to be redeployed at the earliest practicable date.' The Democratic Leader is playing politics with the war in Iraq. This war and the safety of the American people is simply too important for flip-flopping or indecision. We cannot afford to retreat.

5. Dennis...Dennis...Dennis....
You don't even want to go near the concept of "bait and switch" for political gain.

Let me see.... where should I begin? How about going to war because of WMD....and now....We are fighting for democracy in Iraq? That sounds like bait-and-switch to me.

The old Republiican tactic of blaming Dems for techniques that YOUR party is using...is over.

America knows the enemy now...and it is YOU!

7. more gop bs. Murtha's resolution is nothing like the one she voted against
Just GOPropaganda. This is exactly why the repubs whipped up their proposal and worded it the way they did right after Murtha tried to inject some reason into Congress. They twisted his resolution until it didn't even vaguely resemble what he was proposing, so that it was impossible for a reasonable person to support, and now they are using that vote to project their own hypocracy on others.

I hope this doesn't surprise anyone.
