We are doing a lot of good in Iraq. Building lots of Schools & Hospitals!
I have been hearing this over and over for the last two years.

If this is true, I would think that Iraq must be a marvel of education and health care as I type this.

What I don't understand is why, with the world opinion so down on our being in Iraq, why don't we start showing pictures of all these schools and hospitals that we are being told about?

I'm sure that the white phosphorus we have been using is just to light up the night sky so we can pass out school books and invitations to the new hospital grand openings. Why don't you nay-sayers get with the program? Things are really good over there.

And like our Divine Leader pointed out, the only way we can honor the sons and daughters that have died over there so far is to make sure we have more people die...

So come on, America! Come clean and lets start circulating those hidden photos of all those new schools and hospitals the way the Abu Ghraib photos were circulated! Let's not keep them secret anymore.

This is the new "urban myth" for the ignorant. The WMD and Saddam-Osama connection finally sank beneath the weight of the truth and now it is to be replaced with this. Coupled with the Dem's hate Christmas and kill babies, it's going to be a long winter.

Peace out.

1. If we spend our tax money on it, the people should see it.
A speech no matter how well authored has no pictures.

7. I heard a few minutes of Hannity on the way home this evening
and must have heard three people lamenting how bad the media is for not showing these things in one breath and how terrible it is that we (Dems) are trying to destroy Christmas which means we are trying to destroy Christianity.

*sigh*

Somebody buy these people a box of brains for Christmas.

15. Heh. Reminds me of the old saw "If he had a brain, he'd take it out
and play with it."

21. Sorta Gives New Meaning to the Old Adage:
"If they had a brain, they'd be dangerous."

Doesn't say much for them now.

3. I wonder this, too
I'd be the first to say things were going well if I saw all these schools and hospitals and roads and bridges. But all I see is burned out cars and bodies.

18. After they fell all over themselves with Jessica Lynch and others
fabricating heros, you would think they would promote the shit out of anything like this if it were real or at least not embarassing.

19. Bingo
They'd have signs and flags and banners and cheering children all over the news, and a mini-series about how Halliburton saved America.

4. I've talked to over a dozen officers and sergeants who came back from Iraq
and tales about "Building lots of Schools & Hospitals" is mostly BS-PR.

The media should use "rebuild" rather than "build" because we are replacing what we bombed, shelled, and otherwise destroyed.

9. "Rebuilding" a school means slapping a coat of paint on it...
No books, no desks, no pencils, no teachers...no students.

Mission accomplished!

and 'Chemical Warfare' attacks but we really shouldn't pull out until we nuke the place with yellow cakes and mushroom clouds! Abu Ghraib even had those rape rooms the Iraqi people once had! That's REAL Progress?

EDIT...The iraqis would be far better off if they were all dead and never had to worry about Civil Wars and all that nasty old light sweet crude oil.

12. It takes us approx. 8 to 12 weeks to train US soldiers in boot camp.
You'd think by now Iraq would have the most trained military in the world...

17. I would rather have my tax dollars spent helping NO, MS and the
victims of Katrina and Rita. I would even rather have my tax dollars spent on helping the earthquake victims in Pakistan and India. I don't want a dime of my money spent in Iraq. Iraq, where before Desert Storm the women were the most educated in the ME, including Israel, where the healthcare system was better than our own, and where there were plenty of secular schools teaching higher education. Our support of Saddam as he waged our proxy war with Iran and supplied him with all kinds of WMDs and chemical weapons is what emboldened Saddam to kick the butts of his opposition anyway he wanted to. We have given enough to Iraqi invasion. Bring the troops home and put them to work in NO and MS which is a part of our national security.

24. I'd like to see a series of photos documenting all those schools &
hospitals that the US taxpayers paid for.

Isn't it strange that there isn't one single photograph of the happy kids learning their lessons in a new USA built school? And not one single hospital has ever had a photograph taken?

Notice they always use terms that most Americans get a warm fuzzy feeling from? Schools, Hospitals, Cracker Barrel Restaurants and Churches always tickle our fancy!

:bounce: O8) :hi: :loveya: :grouphug:  :bounce: :hi: :patriot:

Well, we may have rebuilt a few that we blew up! Thats something to be proud of!
