Viveca Novak knew that Matt Cooper's source was Karl Rove
From the Unsubstantiated Rumor Mill

According to a source who wishes to remain anonymous because they don't want to be identified (got that from a WaPo article on Paris & Nicole yesterday and I've been dying to use it -- good one, huh?) Viveca Novak is indeed being called to testify before Fitzgerald at Luskin's request. Rumor has it that in May of 2004 when Cooper and Russert were first subpoenaed, "inveterate gossip" Viveca knew that Matt Cooper's source was Karl Rove and she just happened to mention it to her buddy Luskin. Luskin is now claiming that this surprise revelation to his memory-challenged client is what prompted them to go hunting through his emails and call up the one he had written to Hadley.

Sounds like another goat rope of the Adam Levine variety, but since Viveca Novak will presumably be writing a story about her chat with the Special Counsel, hopefully we will soon find out.

1. I Want You!
Patriotic Citizens,

Want to serve your country and not go to Iraq?

It May Be Too Late for most members of Congress, but we have to try.

Graft and corruption starts out with simple campaign contributions and that almost always leads to the hard stuff.

We don't have a large budget here at Justice for an expensive public service campaign to prevent corruption. Help us be judicious with your tax dollars by submitting your ideas for the DOJ -

"Just Say No Thank You To Graft Program."

The winning entry (poster and slogan) will receive a signed 8 x 10 glossy of yours truly and the thanks from a grateful nation. It will then be delivered to 100 Senators and 435 members of Congress (make that 434 - we are too late for Duke).

Good Luck!

Deadline for entries is December 16th.

goat-rope
n. a messy or disorganized situation. Also goat roping, goat rodeo.

Adam Levine
One small item was a July 11, 2003, e-mail Rove sent to former press aide Adam Levine saying Levine could come up to his office to discuss a personnel issue. The e-mail was at 11:17 a.m., minutes after Rove had gotten off the phone with Matt Cooper —the same conversation (in which White House critic Joe Wilson's wife's work for the CIA was discussed) that Rove originally failed to disclose to the grand jury. Levine, with whom Rove often discussed his talks with reporters, did immediately go up to see Rove. But as Levine told the FBI last week, Rove never said anything about Cooper.

3. I think the Washington Post is putting a different spin than what I
heard... This is spin city cause what I heard is that Luskin talked to Viveca and thats why Fitzgerald wanted to know what about...

painting this gossip... when its a Covert CIA Operative

if anything malicious negligence is a good charge for her!!!

This is Spin from Rove!!!

4. So, if she knew it , then it was going to come out eventually and
bite Rove in the scrotum, therefore "Project Blow Smoke Up the Prosecutor's Ass" was initiated. BFD.
