2. Voted for Murtha's but DO Not support quick reaction force.
Troops should not go to Kuwait or Saudi Arabia... but to North Carolina or Georgia.

Still, this part of the resolution is very good:

SECTION 1. The deployment of United States forces in Iraq, by direction of Congress, is hereby terminated and the forces involved are to be redeployed at the earliest practicable date.

3. Other - Impeachment of GWB and trial for
war crimes for all involved (once we win back the House).

I do not think we will ever get an honest assessment of current events in Iraq until GWB is gone.

Staying he course is the one I really disagree with, but what we really need is a State Dept. who is interested in real diplomacy, and Generals who won't fear being fired for saying what is really needed.

6. Sen Kerry's
Because it's a comprehensive plan with legislation backing it. I also think several other Dems have proposed good ideas with some strategic elements.
Obviously, any one of them is far superior to bush*'s "plan".

S.1993 : A bill to provide for a comprehensive, new strategy for success in Iraq that includes a sustainable political solution and the redeployment of United States forces tied to specific political and military benchmarks.
Sponsor: Sen Kerry, John F. (introduced 11/10/2005) Cosponsors (None)
Committees: Senate Foreign Relations
Latest Major Action: 11/10/2005 Referred to Senate committee. Status: Read twice and referred to the Committee on Foreign Relations.

7. Murtha's,
of course.

I have a fair idea of where he gets this perspective (and plan) from.

And while I am not crazy about the idea of any involvement whatsoever in the ME (we need energy independence and a goodly amount of economic independence to be anything resembling secure), I am willing to trade some involvement there for immediate withdrawal from Iraq.

For a time.

8. Out NOW. Bring 'em home. Forget the "reaction force".
You can bet that if there's a "reaction force", the generals and politicians will find an excuse to use them.
