3. The Army's new motto...
"War: It's just like Xbox, only you stay fuckin' dead".

4. As Seen on Comedy Central... I think it is SICK!
Remember, in the beginning of the Iraq War, several soldiers were reported "having to pretend it was a video game" when the shooting began.

6. There was another one "US Army Game"
Was an ego perspective shooter game with boot camp training and all plus some missions.

Have to admit it was fun to play.... plus it was a free download.

But their goal is obvious.

7. They've been doing that for several years now.
It's nothing new.

The America's Army game came out (if memory serves) at least 3 years ago.

9. Gotta Do Something, since the draft will be reinstated...
Edited on Thu Dec-01-05 02:57 PM by Dem Agog
I still maintain that if * refuses to drop Iraq, your sons and daughters will be drafted. Heck given the "skills draft" requirements, someone with my networking/computer skills could even be drafted at my ripe old age too! (30+)

Edit to add: Thank goodness for my horribly bad knees which would probably keep me from being "military material" even if required in a skills draft.

10. America's Army free for PC for a few years now
I have to admit it is pretty fun. If my tax dollars are going to be used to make a first-person shooter, I'm going to play it, even if it is just an Army ad campaign.

11. This was done for the PC over a year ago now they
are making PS2 and Xbox versions. You know,a few years ago I would have laughed at the stupidity of this. Gamers were not exactly "army" material. Now that games have gone mainstream though they seem to be hitting their target audience.

12. Its been on PC for awhile. Personally I found it lame.
Counterstrike is a lot more fun if your looking for a team shotting fix.

13. The game sucks
It took me for ever to download (actually it took several tries because it would just stop) the game. Very intrusive as it wants to send data out (not nescessary).

Played it once and when I was done with basic wepons training I turned and shot the drill instructor in the head. I was sent to brig.

Haven't played it since.
