Do we really believe that fighting "them" over there is keeping us from
fighting "them" over here? If you believe that then you would have to believe that the terrorists were planning to invade and fight us. You know damn well that they could never use planes again. So how do we suppose they were going to get here? And how do we suppose that invading and occupying Iraq is going to keep them from attacking us agains since none of the original 9/11 attackers were Iraqis and no Al-qaeda at the time of 9/11 were Iraqis?

It seems to me that we have taken ourselves over there so that they could kill more of us. We are still vulnerable on every front as Katrina proved. Do we believe that we are engaging every Al-qaeda member in existence during this fight in Iraq and that there are no more who have time to attack us over here? The thinking behind this invasion and occupation boggles my mind.

1. There are probably tens of thousands of jihadists
And it only took a handful of them to cause 9/11. Yes, there was a lot of planning involved, probably a lot of resources allocated to the project by the OBL and others.

But that still left a lot free to do other things.

And I'm thouroughly convinced that the jihadists have more money, resources and manpower than any time before 9/11.

Thanks, George.

2. And that isn't their first justification
I agree with you. The justification that we are killing our guys over there so they won't get killed here makes no sense.

First: the terrorists were not in Iraq. Saddam was an enemy to Bin Laden. They had no terrorists in Iraq before we let them in.

Second: The logic is flawed. They are suggesting that we lured the terrorists from other countries to Iraq so we could fight them there. Which means, we used innocent Iraq men, women, and children as human shields. Think about that concept. It is a stunning admission, if true (which of course it isn't--its another attempt at justifying the biggest miscarriage of power our country has known). And of course, that also means we are sacrificing our men and women by using them as bait to attract terrorists like flies in a web.

Third: by sending most of our national guard away--we are less safe here, and more likely to be attacked. Katrina showed us the weakness.

Fourth: terrorist attacks across the world have risen since the invasion.

The lies and rhetoric continue as the death toll rises. The only thing this administration does is spin. When you unpack and examine this specific spin--like them all--you will find lies and flawed logic. I wish more people would examine what they spin rather than swallow and nod.

3. No. It's an absurd, simplistic third-grade strategy...
They don't NEED to fight us over here to defeat us. Where was the threat of a seaborne invasion on the US by Vietnam? Hell, Germany damn near had the Allies beat before we even set foot on French soil.

4. The 'reason for fighting them over there' is a bunch of.........
KING KONG BULLSHIT!!!!!!!!! Everything the bush administration does and says defies rational thinking, resulting in the horrible place we find this country in both at home and abroad.

5. Just more lies
We all know that Saddam never had WMD.

Saddam's only crime was that he was trying to build a peaceful, socialist, secular, Nation on top of the largest oil reserve in the universe.

Jesus didn't like that, so he sent his Chimpanze to straighten things out.

6. Take heed: Don't let Bush deceive you!
Jesus said in Luke 21:8, "Take heed that you not be deceived, for many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and the time draws near; therefore, do not go after them." These are days of great deception. Stay close to Christ that you may discern the times.
