Shouldn't 'doin' a heckuva job' disappear from Bush's speeches?
just used the phrase in his AIDS speech.
'''just like brownie, huh, George?
It really builds confidence in Bush's AIDS program, doesn't it?

1. Oy, Rove must really be losing it to let that by.
That phrase is now the kiss of death.

You don't suppose Rove is distracted by, oh, I don't know...the thought of jail time? His performance sucks lately. Bush's speech yesterday caused another 5-point drop in Bush's approve/disapprove numbers at Rasmussen.

2. Is it possible
Rove is on Bush's "don't listen to" list as well? I've been thinking about that lately.

12. I've read that the only people he's listening to these days is
1) Mommy of the Beautiful Mind;
2) Laura of the Lump in the Bed;
3) Karen Hughes of the Everlast1ng Spin; and
4) Condi of the Mushroom Cloud.

Trouble is, he's only got two butt-cheeks. I wonder if they have a schedule set up to avoid conflicts?

4. I suspect Bush stuck that in himself. Remember that staged teleconference

with soldiers a few weeks back? When they did the rehearsal, the questions were more wordy and precise. When Bush read the questions, he often shortened them and used smaller words.

7. Absolutely Not!
The more he speaks nonsense the sooner the 35% out there who like him might see the light.

14. "circling the drain"
:rofl:

Never heard that one before. Perfect way to describe Brownie (and the GOP as a whole, at this point).

13. If he were even remotely aware of the impact, yes
But in his case, I'd say to leave it in. Maybe even add a few more instances of it. The more he says it, the more people will remember WHEN he said it and to WHO.

If he's digging himself in deeper, I'm all in favor of handing him a bigger shovel. The sooner he becomes an absolute laughing stock, the sooner some group of Republan congresscritters will march up to the Oval Orifice and point out that it's time to go -- and if ridicule works, I say go for it.
