Poll question: Which of these topic threads are you tired of seeing on DU?
Which of these topic threads are you tired of seeing on DU?

I'm doing this poll, because we seem to have at LEAST three or four of these topic threads per WEEK...every week.

8. Well
I don't know Mr. Skip. John McCain I think should only appear as a topic on DU in order for all of us to bash him over being such a COMPLETE tool and Bushbot. McCain is never going to be the 2008 nominee, he'll be 72 and he's in ill health.

The Hillary threads, always descend into full-on bashing of Hillary mixed with full-on defending of Hillary. Hillary is never going to be the 2008 nominee and we could concentrate on discussing ways to help her get re-elected to her Senate seat next year.

What I'm trying to say, as politely as possible, is that all of these threads end up nearly being identical, with the same arguments, the same pros and the same cons. They've become like a dog chasing it's tail. I dunno, maybe we need two new forums...the Hillary Clinton 2008 Forum and the John McCain 2008 Forum...just kidding Moderators :)

17. How easily will Hillary win Iowa and New Hampshire? Pretty easy.
Only one question needs to be asked of voters, "Were you better off under Clinton or are you better off now?"

Able to run EVEN one of THESE characters in 2008 and win in a landslide.

2008 should be a walk for our party.

7. I'm much more tired of Clark threads
Hillary shouldn't run for president just for her notoriety alone. Beyond that, she's an appeaser and far too far to the right.

McCain is a feudal asshole; anyone who doesn't understand this doesn't understand much.

The Clark barkers annoy me much more.

14. 'Um...can you give me some examples of what you accuse me of
Edited on Fri Dec-02-05 11:44 PM by ...of J.Temperance
Such as my "attacking DUs style RELENTLESSLY" and managing to get Skinner to change the format of GD?

Actually I've not seen your name in GD, up until this particular post of yours.

So, some examples of my relentless attacks on DUs style and getting Skinner to change the format of GD.

If you can't give examples of RELENTLESS attacks and PROOF of my getting Skinner to change the format...then I might suggest you refrain from throwing baseless accusations around, UNTIL you can back up your comments.

Just sayin'

On Edit. Spelling error.

and whether you've noticed my posts or not is not important.

i distinctly remember you starting a thread last week about not liking the format of GD. then surprise, surprise, skinner makes a thread about how it will be changed so it's not so......shallow. GD "chat", if you will.

you just seem critical of the status quo here....JUST SAYING.

Exist. I never started such a thread.

If you can produce Skinners thread...then produce the thread you said I started where I commented that I didn't like the format of GD.

Go on...I dare you.

On Edit: I didn't ask you to produce Skinners thread. I asked you to produce proof to back up your absurd claim that I've been relentlessly critical of the format of GD.

Eh?

In my humble opinion.

She will never get my vote.

Under no circumstances.

If you want my vote you have to earn it.

She lost it with her vote and backpedaling ever since.

24. The "Slap Down Encouraging News With Voting Machine Angst" threads.
You know, the ones where someone posts a poll showing us 30 points ahead of the Republicans or something and then the same three or four people immediately rush into to throw cold water on the discussion by insisting that there is no hope, since they'll just steal it with the machines.

And, of course, let's not forget the purely theological, totally apolitical religion threads that people insist on posting in GD.

41. Amen
There's a lot wrong with the justice system and that's enough to justify at least a moritorium on the death penalty, but I am tired of hearing how Williams has "turned his life around" behind bars, where he really didn't have much of a choice, and after murdering four people and co-founding a violent gang responsible for the deaths of hundreds of others.

40. The topics I'm sick of more than anything
1) DLC apologists - this latest attack on a conservative Dem like Murtha should destroy any illusion of their "centrism".

2) Rabid Anti-theism - Hey, as a Christian I can joke about fanaticism as much as anyone else. The whole FAUX/CBN hysteria over the "Liberal War On Christmas"?? Laughing my Jesus loving ass off, really. After all, it's MY belief system these morons are shitting all over. But when you start screaming about roadside markers to honor some poor dead people because they're shaped like a cross, that's just fucking ridiculous. We really have bigger fish to fry than that. (see topic 1)
