Bush is sacrificing lives for Politics and Politics alone.
Edited on Sat Dec-03-05 12:45 AM by Quixote1818
Are we all in agreement that Bush is willing to lose American lives to keep the Iraq war going even though he knows it's already lost?

It seems quite clear to me that Bush is just prolonging our exit to start a small pull out just before the 06 elections because he know once we leave for good Iraq will fall apart no matter how long we stay. So, we either stay for 10 or 20 years and lose 100,000 americans and still lose or we get out in the next six months, save one shit load of lives, lose, Iraq falls to shit, Bush's approval rating drops into the low teens and Democrats take back the Congress and Senate and he is Impeached when all his illegal fuck ups are exposed.

Iraq loses either way, but American lives are saved or Bush can try to lie to everyone and claim progress in Iraq just before the 06' elections.

I have no doubt he is sacrificing American lives for nothing more than political reasons. In my book that is PURE EVIL!!! The lowest form of scum on earth!

1. * is the antichrist. He's done too many things to allow too many to suffer
or at least done nothing to allow too many things to happen which allows too many to suffer in return.

5. I agree, I think the Bush bastard is the final Anti-Christ too...and I
Never used to even think about this stuff, the pieces all seem to be falling into place to say it's him...that he's The Beast.

You know he always accuses our side of playing politics...once again, he accuses others of doing what HE is ACTUALLY doing.

I think it's called Projection, accusing others of doing what you're actually doing.

2. Dunno... if he's as isolated from information...
... as recent reports suggest, he may well believe this can be won (for God and Country, so to speak).

The Mayberry Machiavellis still don't do anything that doesn't have a political motive. I expect some troops to come home at a critical point in the 2006 elections, replete with parades, while some (principally air crews and special ops) will remain for a long, long time, tucked away at bases far from the cameras of the press and the eyes of Iraqis. The plans are, according to Seymour Hersh, to take boots off the ground and put bombs in the air.

Be assured, though, that they are busily working now on a way to have their cake and eat it, too.

4. "Bush is sacrificing lives for Politics and Politics alone."
True. But it's not just 'politics and politics alone'...it's also pure stupidity:

"An Iraq dominated by religious Shiites who had often lived in exile in Iran for decades is inevitably an Iraq with warm relations with Tehran. The US, bogged down in a military quagmire in the Sunni Arab regions, cannot afford to provoke massive demonstrations and uprisings in the Shiite areas of Iraq by attacking Iran. Bush has inadvertently strengthened Iran, giving it a new, religious Shiite ally in the Gulf region. The traditional Sunni powers in the region, such as the kings of Saudi Arabia and Jordan, are alarmed and annoyed that Bush has created a new "Shiite crescent." Far from weakening or overthrowing the ayatollahs, Bush has ensconced and strengthened them. Indeed, by chasing after imaginary weapons of mass destruction in Iraq, he may have lost any real opportunity to prevent Iran from developing a nuclear weapon should it decide to do so.

"The real winners of the Iraq war are the Shiites."
