But, of course, they will take 'dramatic license' to a new low.

At least, in the promos, Poppy has admitted that the other two guys never got out. But, I wonder if they will actually reveal why GHWB survived and the other two crew members did not.

22. At least 50% of the Navy pilots were shot down in the first year or two...
...of WWII in the Pacific Theater. Torpedo bombers and dive bombers had the highest mortality rate because they had to close with the enemy ships through a ton of flak to release their weapons. The early training was not all that good, and the Naval aircraft used at that time wasn't very good either.

Having written all of that, the big question in my mind has to do with whether or not Poppy actually had another job during WWII. OSS comes to my mind almost immediately.

He did his duty along with millions of others and I have no complaints. Sneering at this is as petty as when the republicans would call bomber pilot George McGovern a coward.

Each of them like many others put their lives on the line and I respect them all for so doing.

Even my WWII vet Dad doesn't believe that fairy tale. IMHO, it's nothing but a cover story for what Bush really did during the war.

Do you know anything about the OSS? Do you know anything about how the OSS transported agents by submarine? Did you know that the OSS liked to recruit Yale grads who played sports? Did you know that the OSS was one of the forerunners of the CIA?

What do you really know about Poppy's long career with the CIA?

23. Perhaps you should try to find the real story
and how he was a coward and jumped and left 2 men go down with plane when he could have landed it and the 2 men would still be alive. Oh he was some hero alright, not. CNN couldn't get their facts right if they bit them in A--.
