NSA documents were released yesterday that proved the Gulf Of Tonkin
Incident was faked:

Newly Declassified National Security Agency Documents Show Analysts Made "SIGINT fit the claim" of North Vietnamese Attack

Now I was thinking, since Johnson and Bush both used similar tactics to lead us to a war for the benefit of defence contractors, maybe the problem is a "Remember the Alamo" Texas attitude.

I'm kidding, of course, but will we finally learn after being burned twice now, that when they tell us a third rate country the size of California is attacking the United States with hopes of taking us over....they might be lying?

"The Mouse That Roared" comes to mind.

I find it odd that this information is being released at this very time (very convenient). I suspect the republican chickenhawks will try use this to gain some traction in support of the Bush* war - yet their logic is flawed from the beginning. Trying to justify what Bush* did by accusing someone else of doing the same. (e.g. how can you judge my actions when you do exactly the same thing?)
