I just learned that the son of a former co-worker was killed in Iraq
Edited on Sat Dec-03-05 03:48 PM by KzooDem
I used to work with his mom. I remember her husband bringing him (as a toddler)and their other children in to visit her on her lunch breaks. Her husband also died earlier this year and another child was killed in an accident a few years ago. Now her son has been taken from her, thanks to George's lies.

Sad thing is, she is a Republican and she'll probably have to cling to a lie to come to terms with her son's death.

May he rest in peace, and may his mother find peace in the midst of her torment.

2. My health care provider's sibling was killed in Kuwait.
non-military but still, was working for Halliburton for the invasion/occupation. May all the families find peace eventually somehow.

5. It's sad, but....
Of course it's sad and I wouldn't wish this on any family. But (and I'm sure I'll be flamed for this) if anyone is still supporting **** and his war, voted for him in 2004 after they knew what he was capable of doing, and has not been actively working to get Bush's policy changed and get their loved one home from Iraq, then all I can say is 'we told you so'. As for working for Halliburton and getting killed over there, that's another whole subject.

13. I agree no soldier ever serves in vain....
But I do beleive Bush's actions are forcing them to die in vain...for a fucking pack of lies. For that, I am content believing the man will burn in hell for eternity.

14. I agree
My point was that you cannot ever say "the soldiers died in vain" even though the War was unjust, unwise and poorly executed after May 1, 2003.

I'm pretty confident the Bush and his team will will be hoisted by their own petards a lot sooner than you think. In fact, you can pretty much bank on it.
