I felt like I was on another planet.
Because there was nothing else on, I actually watched Neil Cavuto on Fox cable news for about 1/2 hour last nite.

First story I watched was on how well the economy is doing. Cavuto had 2 cute, not sexy, young women on, one on each side of him. These girls had smiles plastered on their faces. The 3 of them went on and on how well the economy is doing. The economy is in the best shape ever. Bsh will be known as the best president ever and his ratings will skyrocket.

Next segment:
We are winning big in Iraq. They had some young man, very cute, broadcasting from Iraq. He had a smile plastered on his face. Things in Iraq are better than expected. It is becomming very safe to go outside of the green zone. Things are just great in Iraq. Not a word about the 10 marines that were killed. Nothing. Just praise and smiles.

I sat there with my chin on the floor the entire time I watched.
Everyone was so dam cute. Everyone was so dam happy. Everything is going better than anyone in their wildest dreams could ever expect.
Bush is the greatest President ever. Rah! Rah!!!

Like I said, I felt like I was on another planet.
That news show could not have come from anywhere in this galaxy.

unfuckingbelievable.

3. Faux News, brought to you by the bush regime.
They don't call them the mouthpiece for the bush WH for nothing.

4. I almost forgot the best part!!!!
This is when I turned it off!

You know whose fault it is that there is no Christmas?
Hollywood's!!! They did not make any Christmas movies this year.
Instead they choose to make a movie about someone that is gay.

And this is what the rest of the country is listening to my friends.

Thank God for KO and AAR!

5. Aw hell, you just described the local news in NM
Only instead of vapid blondes we get Hispanic true believers.

One station has a policy of always airing the weather at the same time. Unfortunately, the set is occasionally on another station when I flip it on, and I'm treated to a chirpy performance by overpaid hacks who are only too thrilled to keep blatting the bullshit as long as the checks keep coming in.

And people wonder why I never bother with the news. At least the weather forecast has some chance of being correct.

9. O.K. so what is the point
Of watching Fux? Is this some kind of abuse syndrome? Why would you do that?

Go play golf or something! Shit! I barely have enough spare time in my life to do things I want to do, much less waste my precious minutes watching shit like that.

Get involved with a charity or political group if you have too much time on your hands. Watching fascist propaganda (and taking the time to report it here) only furthers the bullshit!

10. Wait a minute!
I don't even want to have to defend myself here.
Let's just say I finally got to sit down and unwind. Nothing was on worth watching. I have never heard anything about Cavuto. I was curious. 'Nuff said!

Besides - Aren't you ever curious about what the bushbots think about?
I sure am. Because when his approval ratings are 37%, I want to know what the f*ck is wrong with that 37%.

12. To know thy enemy
It's also good for stoking the fires of righteousness. You want to get mad at the right, go watch five minutes of Fox. Watching them rationalize the acts of an administration that's seeking to destroy our nation can be amusing. Plus, you can get a contact high from their brain fog.

That being said, I don't watch it myself anymore. Not even for five minutes. You're right--life is too short to waste on that crap.

11. 2 fronts in the Pentagon's and the neocons' war:
- an Orwellian full assault on the people
- a Straussian policy of continuous lie: not only lie about things acknowledged to exist, but lie about the very EXISTENCE of those things--like the 10 Marines. Perle said that there were only 600 dead when there were 1,700--millions see the lie, nobody will hear the correction.

because Neil Cavuto is not one of us.

Go on. Ask him if he can bend his pinky.

15. Poster child for media re-regulation
The farther they push the envelope, the more likely major re-regulation is going to come their way.

Between Fox & Sinclair, they've pretty well guaranteed it'll be on the agenda.

16. Those people are scaaaary
I know exactly what you mean. They all have the exact same look. It's freaky. Vacant eyes, peaked skin, phony smile, perfect hair. I mean these really are Stepford people. Mannequins with a sound track. Completely emotionally disconnected. Just freaky.
