One enlisted guy told me that he knew of US soldiers who would to try to hit the Vietnamese kids, and they were sometimes successful, returning to base with a smashed windshield.

I used to wonder if that were true, but after watching this video, I can see that it probably was. Imagine what these soldiers will be doing to these kids after their third, fourth or fifth tour of Iraq.

I posted previously about this.

I spoke with a relative over Thanksgiving. She was in the military and her brother is currently serving. She described to me thousands of pictures and video that he has of the Iraq war.

She said that her brother commented on media coverage of Iraq, and how they don't even begin to show the true story. Apparently, the situation is much more gruesome, violent and discombobulated than we ever see.

Among the video that her brother shot, is footage of American soldiers pointing machine guns at Iraqi children and screaming, "We're going to kill you!" The Americans are speeding along in a military vehicle, while these unprovoked children scream and run in terror. The soldiers laugh and this goes on for a while. It's a game.

How ironic that I would hear about that video, and then see this video of the Iraqi children throwing rocks at our military vehicles.

Listen to that soldier. He has disdain for those children. He whines about being unable to use "deadly force" against these children. He has absolutely no compassion for these children who are so hurt, so angry--and who have witnessed the hell of war. Maybe some of them were orphaned by one of the 10,000 bombs we dropped during "shock and awe."

We were supposed to be liberating these wonderful Iraqi people and saving them from tyranny. Just listen to the attitude of that soldier. We have no respect for these people. They are insects to us.

It's just revolting.

Think about it - why are there so many little kids doing this regularly enough that the guy on the video knows it's going to happen? Did someone send them out there as bait? It's not so far-fetched when you consider how they don't have too many problems finding people to be suicide bombers; getting a parcel of their own number killed for the benefit of advancing their strategy doesn't seem to be a problem for them. If we shot a bunch of kids - pretty incapable of truly understanding what's going on - for throwing rocks, we would have serious problems staying there. The justification that Saddam was killing so many people would start to sour, and they'd have to start coming up with a third or fourth reason that they started the war.

I wonder how many of those kids are now without parents because of our bombs & bullets? Good to see our troops use restrain. Can you imagine killing children? What's worse, being killed as a child or killing a child and having to live with it? I guess dropping bombs and not having to see the results makes it easier.
