Anybody who thinks * would appoint Lieberman
to Secretary of Defense in mistaken.

But Donald Rumsfeld just might, and he's the one who makes these decisions. And Rumsfeld is the one who would be pulling Secretary Lieberman's strings, as he now does with *.

8. Oh, yes, my mistake.
How could I have forgotten him?

Then the current Secretary of Defense is actually Foghorn Leghorn's little nemesis Henry, you know, the one who wants to cook and eat Foghorn.

4. Lieberman's strings are already pulled..
.. tight.

On the Chris Mathews show this morning, they said he's toeing the GOP party line because he wants to be appointed Sec. of Defense.

I didn't know he wanted a BushInc cabinet position. Ugghh. Why doesn't he just go ahead and change parties?

What was Gore thinking???

7. He's an idiot if he thinks Bush & the Republicans will appoint
a Democrat to anything.

Memo to Dems- if you ever regain any power, don't be like Clinton and appoint Republicans to cabinet positions (like William Cohen as Secretary of Defense) or to administrative agencies (like Michael Powell at the FCC).

Republicans will not only never reciprocate- but when they have power, they'll lock you out of all discusions!

My advice- do the EXACT same to them in return, and relegate them back to the fringe where they belong.

9. surely lieberman knows that's a sunken ship!
i mean it's hit the rocks and even the rats (who know these things) are running for their ratty lil lives! BUTT liebermwn may think he'll be ruined along with the busheviks, once that nest of varmints is smoked out, which will happen eventually, and when the cost of the bush admin is eventually added up??
it defied common sense that algore chose that lieberman goof as his running mate in 2k, which, conveeeniently, was the power grab election that bush took...algore since has disappeared but lieberman has been like a bad hairdo on a spandexed whore; it never grows out and gets better cuz it's a frigging WIG, and joe's corner sure is busy....
if joe lieberman and his career could be analysed in a public inquiry, then everything rotten and nasty and endlessly confounding about US politics might be aired out so the electorate can discover why the land of the free became the land of wtf....

10. If Lieberman were appointed to
an administration post the Republican Governor of Connecticut (M. Jodi Rell (R)) would appoint a Republican to take his place, further cementing their hold on the Senate while giving * a talking point defending his claim to being a "uniter".
