26. All the decent dressmakers
must be working in NY and CA.

Threads magazine once featured Hillary Clinton's first inaugural gown. It was a marvel of engineering: it fit perfectly, comfortably, and elegantly. It was done by a house in NY that costumes Broadway musicals, a perfect choice for a dress that has to hold up to eight inaugural balls.

Predictably, some readers who would later become known as 'freepers' complained about the article. Threads responded politely that the article was about the dress, not its wearer.

It looks like she dusted off her Home Ec project in time for the holidays.

9. Cute play on words..
But, honestly, doesn't a "bustle in the hedgerow" mean it's that time of the month?

Always wondered about that when I heard that song.

16. Condi is not a pretty woman.
"Handsome," maybe, pretty, no.

And that dress merely highlights the fact.

She has a boyish figure, and that's a very girlish dress.

I think it's the frilly skirt.

Say no to the frilly skirt.

18. There's a pucker in the middle of the zipper in the back,
the yoke of the dress stands up funny at the nape of her neck, and the gathers at the waist are reminescent of a doll's dress. Even high school beauty queens don't wear clothes that fit as badly as that dress.

Yeah, I think she may have sewn it herself, with a fifty year old dress pattern.

21. What is it with Republican women
and horrible clothes?

There's more than a loose correlation here.

Pickles seems to have gotten it together a little better, but I'm sure she's had to hire someone to tell her what to wear. The fashion change has been too dramatic for it to be of her own doing.

Though the last time I turned on CSPAN Hillary was wearing this appalling salmon colored THING....

23. Robert Redford to be honored

Tribune: At the Kennedy Center, you'll be sitting in a box with George Bush for a couple of hours. Is that an opportunity you'd want to take to say something to him?

Redford: No, it's not worth it. . . . I don't want to make it about politics, so I probably won't - unless it's brought up, then that's a whole other ballgame.

I also feel this is an administration that just doesn't care about opposing points of view. They're going to so-called "stay the course" - and the course is going so far downhill so fast that it's sort of pointless to get into any kind of a discussion. It holds no merit. There's no point in it.

I can not imagine her with anything other that the look she has now, but fashion has never been my strong suit. Photoshop anyone?
