Why are some of you so giddy over John McCain?
"Do you know why Chelsea Clinton is so ugly? Because Janet Reno is her father." -- John McCain

Do you find this endearing??

How about this......

<When he first ran for Congress in the early 1980s, he referred to the senior community of Leisure World as "Seizure World.">

1. Who here is giddy over McCain? I haven't really noticed that.
He isn't the worst repuke out there, but he is a * ass kisser and hugged and supported him on the campaign trail so he is dead to me as far as politics go.

Don't encourage them, I'm not entirely sure what their agenda is...but I think they have one, so just ignore them.

10. If we can make Dems hate him as much as the hardcore right does...
Maybe he'll go away entirely.

I have yet to understand how he gets portrayed as angelic by the media and alot of Dems and Independents.

17. He's an extreme Right-Wing hack...I also think that
John McCain lives on The Good Ship Lollipop...the man doesn't seem to be playing with a full deck of cards.

They pump him up as a Moderate...we need to bust him by exposing his voting record, which is very similar to Rick Santorum's and Orrin Hatch's...anti-abortion, anti-Labor Union, anti-gay rights, anti-poor people, anti-middle class people, pro-Gung Ho etc.

We CAN bust him, it should be pretty simple. We can formulate a plan to bust him....constantly have an under-the-radar attack campaign against him...and considering McCain is mentally unstable anyway, it should be VERY easy to make him fall apart COMPLETELY.

I'd soon have him on his knees, crying and screaming for mercy and begging for Momma...oh yes I would.

21. Would the Dems have the balls??
Remember when Dubya said last year while signing a military spending bill that his Administration never stopped thinking of new ways to harm the American people?? LOL!

I woulda had that out nationally as a campaign commercial if I was John Kerry. Even Moveon.org didn't jump on it!! I was sorely disappointed when they didn't do it.

McCain out...I'd run an under-the-radar campaign and I'd have him squashed like a bug.

McCain is as crazy as a runover dog...sure he was a war hero...but then so was Randy "Democrats should be lined up against a wall and shot" Cunningham. These creeps are the ENEMY and we need to treat them like the ENEMY.

The wedge issues to be used on McCain, are his mental instability coupled with his extreme Right-Wing voting record.

To put it simply, give me a month...and I'd FINISH John McCain political AND personally. I'd have him rendered into a gibbering wreck...and I'd then throw a party and celebrate.

Yep...it's personal now with these creeps.

On Edit: Dammit spelling error.

13. Why would any Dem be giddy over PNAC's candidate for '08?
Just watch. They will run "the well-respected" and "maverick" McCain in '08. His "maverick" status will allow him to distance himself from bush's numerous failures. If anyone is wondering why McCain has willingly been eating shit for the past 5 years, this is why. It's all a farce and a sham.

The BFEE just use McCain like the cheap whore that he is...Junior turns up in McCain's vacinity and McCain IMMEDIATELY puts his kneepads on and goes down as FAST as a two dollar whore.

McCain in 2008 will be 72 and he's already in bad health now, repeated blow-up's on his face of skin cancer.

He ain't going NOWHERE trust me...but I'd still destroy him, because I DETEST him.

33. John McCain, Hypocrite
John McCain, Hypocrite
by Doug Ireland

John McCain, the media's darling, has found a clever way around his own campaign finance reform law to take big corporate bucks in furtherance of his political ambitions while carrying water for the corporate mammoth providing the dough. But the national press is ignoring the story.

The Associated Press first ran the story of John McCain's odorous but lucrative Senatorial service to the communications giant Cablevision on the afternoon of March 7. But, while some local papers in McCain's home state (like the East Valley Tribune) have run the story, nothing has as yet made it into the print editions of the New York Times, the L.A. Times, the Washington Post, or any of the half-dozen other big city dailies I checked (although, if one searches the hundreds of AP stories available on the Post's website on its Politics page by clicking on "Latest Wire Reports," one can find it there--but how many readers would bother to do that?) One notable exception: the Kansas City Star.

Here's what the AP's investigation found:

McCain repeatedly intervened on behalf of a policy Cablevision favored -- one which "congressional and private studies conclude could make cable more expensive" -- while his chief political adviser, Rick Davis (who's masterminding McCain's probable '08 presidential rerun) solicited $200,000 in contributions from Cablevision to an institute that promotes McCain and pays Davis a $110,000 annual salary.

The Reform Institute was set up to promote McCain and his issues--especially campaign finance reform, embodied in the famous McCain-Feingold law. This Institute is "a tax-exempt group that touts McCain's views and has showcased him at events since his unsuccessful 2000 presidential campaign," and it "often uses the senator's name in press releases and fund-raising letters and includes him at press conferences," the AP says. And, of course, it provides a cushy sinecure with no heavy lifting for McCain's main man, Davis, as he prepares the pontificating Senator's next presidential run. Cablevision's contributions account for a whopping 15% of the Institute's budget.

37. I'm not. I did like him because he was more critical of Bush* than the
Democrats, but, given his history with Bush* (dirty tricks, SC presidential primary 2000) and his harsh criticism of this administration, I just cannot figure out any reason why he continues to support Bush*. He has no reason to, unless he is doing so for party reasons, but that is not only hypocritical, but also defeating, since his own party is turning against Bush*, any of them with any sense or conscience, that is. So I've wondered what was up with McCain, myself. He's done a lot that is good, and has worked well with John Kerry. He must realize what a liability that Bush* really is, so I don't get it, either...

I haven't seen it myself but that might explain any liberal's support of him. "Opportunistic Whore," a phrase someone used earlier, really is the best way to describe him. Living in AZ, I just have to laugh at anyone on either side who could take him seriously as a candidate.
