Breaking....really...CNN coming out with BAD poll numbers for DeLay.
Wolf just said it.

these are polling numbers within his district, and Blitzer said they're not good for DeLay

coming up momentarily, according to the hirsute newsreader

but, then, we know he's the master tease

10. Here's the really interesting thing about this
The Bug's district was SPECIALLY MADE FOR HIM!

He created the district himself during the 2003 redistricting controversy.

He can't even get 50% in a district vastly and heavily Repug.

13. Dems have work to do, they won't win by default
A similar poll in Ohio recently found Taft's approval numbers hovering around 6%, but voters were split on whether they would support Dems or Repubs in the next election.

Our party has to get off their asses and start working to win over these disenchanted voters. The days of being able to rely on voter support just because your party is less corrupt than the other are over.

Why our Dem leaders aren't doing more to take advantage of the situation and build on voter distrust of R's is beyond me.

15. Probably the same 36% who still think W's doing a heckuva job
RW partisans. Completely lost to GOP propaganda. Don't think there's much hope for these people, no matter what their objects of worship do.

2. re elect DeLay, or put in the dem?
Registered voters in CNN poll:

Democrat: 49 percent

DeLay: 36 percent!

he got elected last time with 55 percent of the vote

55 percent of those polled thought criminal charges against him are "probably true"

9. That depends ...

That depends if the hammer bugs out and clears the way for another Republican to win the nomination.

14. Exactly
The R's have already figured out this angle. That's why they're floating McCain out there as their own version of a reform candidate. They'll do the same at the district level, too. They're still miles ahead of Dems.

4. DeLay's approval rating in his district was in the low 30s
And that was before he was indicted.

They can't be any better now.

7. Exactly. Poll numbers are never truly accurate with this crowd.
And, who knows if he was EVER actually elected by 55% to begin with.
