Something to ponder this holiday season
I went to an artisan show and sale yesterday. It was great. Amongst all the artwork, pottery and crafts there was a booth that had folkart. On a simple plaque was painted -

Even if you don't believe there is a God, live your life so that those who meet you, learn of God by your example.

Something to ponder......I am not a religeous person - but this simple and eloquent statement has resonated with me. I don't go to church and I abhore the many hypocrisies of organized religion.....and yet there are many good things to be recognized.....treat others how you yourself want to be treated......

Happy holidays Du'ers.

1. "I want to be the person my dog sees in me."
When I first heard someone say that, I was blown away. That's a wonderful aspiration, I think - about the best I can imagine.

2. I'm about the least religious guy you're ever going to meet...
but I try to live my life in accordance with the (real) teachings of Christ, those being tolerance, compassion, and charity.

So I know what you mean.

3. Funny how the self-proclaimed ...
... 'non-religious' people consistently get it right!

Now, if only those 'religious' types would follow YOUR example ...
