'X-Treme' Motivational Speaker Faces Child Porn Charges/Michael Fortino
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. -- A nationally known motivational speaker is facing child pornography charges.

Police in Arkansas arrested Michael Fortino -- a man who lives in Pittsburgh, but travels the world.

Fortino's Web site has been shut down, but a cached version of it showcases him as a motivational speaker.

He was apparently in Arkansas to give one of those speeches when he was arrested...

Quote by Ex-President George H.W. Bush on Michael Fortino:

"Americans like Michael Fortino are a role model for future generations"

2. Or how about Pastor Michael Hintz?
Pastor Micheal Hintz, a married man with four children--was convicted of sexual exploitation after he had an affair with a minor church member. Pastor Hintz began the affair when they were overseas, doing "mission work."

President Bush Junior showcased Michael Hintz, his wife and children on state, during the 04 campaign. Bush touted their family values and touted the couple as a shining example of a family who benefited from his tax cuts.

These slime-molds of society come from every socioeconomic background and profession. Isn't it interesting though, that most of them seem to be Republicans?

3. So now this man is going to have his life destroyed because...

there's nothing worse than downloading child porn - worse than murder, really. And he so richly deserves it: both "X-Treme" AND a "motivational speaker"? At the same time? A whole new dimension of annoyingness!

For once, I salute America's ultra-Draconian criminal justice system! We're number one! In incarceration rates! Now if only we could stay on this line, but expand it: release all those hundreds of thousands who are in for non-violent drug offenses, for example, and really go after the Annoying. People who drive slow in the left lane - the guy who does everything over speakerphone - the lady who pays for groceries with a check, everytime - Paris Hilton. With all the jailspace available in this great Republic, we could quickly arise to the broad sunlit uplands of the Good Society: by sending the Annoying to prison! "X-Tremes" and motivational speakers - what a great way to start! :patriot:

That behind every child porn photo this guy downloaded, there was a REAL LIVE CHILD who was abused, don't you?

7. I don't get your rant
Are you saying because he was a motivational speaker he was targeted? Are you saying now the criminal justice system is going after people based on how annoying they are?

He got caught with child porn and his sleazy ass should spend time in jail. I'm not suggesting your saying he shouldn't spend time in jail. I'm just trying to figure out exactly what you are implying.

Michael,
"Thank you for your generosity in assisting as a surrogate speaker during the presidential campaign. I am sure that your efforts significantly increased George Bush's visibility and helped spread his message.... on behalf of the President, it was an effort such as yours that greatly assisted in leading George Bush to victory."

13. There is a question that lingers here.
Edited on Tue Dec-06-05 05:16 AM by TheWatcher
Let me preface this by saying this is a GOOD THING.

It is GOOD this sleaze ball got caught.

And no one is going to dispute that.

He SHOULD go to Jail.

But here is some food for thought.

He got caught because Best Buy Technicians were going through all his stuff on his computer.

Think about that for a second. If you take your computer to Best Buy to get repaired, whether you have anything to hide or not, do you really want some technician helping himself to whatever you personally have on your hard drive?

Let me say this again. it is a GOOD THING this man was caught.

Not disputable.

But Best Buy is not exactly known for it's Progressive Ways, either by the way it does Business, or it's Political Leanings.

And you have to admit, what a great way to snoop on the average person.

I guess everyone can see where I'm going with this.

Although I am glad to see this man was caught, I couldn't help but feel uncomfortable about the way he was caught.

It's a bit of a dilemma.

And I'm really not sure how to feel about it.

14. scum
i am thrilled to see so many responses to this sick bastard's recent arrest. as someone who knew mr fortino personally for my entire life, i am pleased to know that this asshole is finally being caught for soemthing he has done. he is one of those corporate execs that thinks he is on top of hte world, and for the last twenty years, he has been. he has used and abused many people over the time that i have known him and it BY FAR time that this man has to pay for the MANY crimes he has committed. What strikes me as odd is the fact taht they let him out on only $5,000 bond. The man makes well over $10,000 a speech, and he speaks more days than he doesn't, sometimes multiple times in a day. He is extremely welathy and has connections all over the nation and beyond. i think tha tmakes him a serious flight risk and im not sure what the judge was thinking in letting him out after only $5000. At least his scum ass spent two nights in the big house....

i beg you to continue to write about the disgusting things this man has done... many that you will not even begin to fathom. I was reading about how he admitted to taking children on his boat and making porn. his BOAT- which is named after his WIFE... that's just fucked up.
