What say you?

1. I'd say he's working for a fair trial rather than for Saddam.
That's more than a technical distinction.

2. Not NO, but hell NO!! Ramsey Clark represents despots.

That is WHO he is. He does it because due process cannot be swept aside, especially when dealing publicly with despots.

5. Ramsey Clark is old school. He believes if everyone doesn't get
a fair trial, no one can. He sides with the principle of the law and being fair, not the bastards in trouble.

6. Why bother with a plant in what is little more than a show trial?
The fact is we should have sent him to the Hague. The end result would have no doubt been the same, but we wouldn't have further sullied our reputation.

7. Why are bringing up that scumbag's name in the first place?
Considering his history, he's undoubtedly backing Saddam all the way.

8. He's a long time Saddam supporter.
He chooses his clients carefully--people like Slobo, Saddam, and the Rwandan genocidalists.

Saddam should almost be embarrassed to be associated with Clark.

9. It certainly tests your base emotions on
whether all people deserve fair trials. I think many in Iraq would like to just have him executed right away.

It is a little unnerving watching clips of the trial. It seems Saddam thinks he can survive this episode too. He tries to provoke people against the occupation and has temper tantrums. I wish they would move the trial out of that country. It is too unstable there.
