The Bush administration should all be impeached!
Edited on Tue Dec-06-05 07:22 AM by shraby
They have used torture which is against the Geneva Conventions. The Geneva Conventions are a part of our constitution because it's a treaty we signed. They have broken their oaths of office because the oath says they promise to uphold the constitution. There are no two ways about it. That is grounds for impeachment.

1. The Geneva Convention is part of our constitution?
I must have been sick that day in High School Civics.

3. Implication of treaties we sign make them our law, and our laws are
blanketed with our constitution. So it's a stretch. IMPEACH The fuckers anyway!

4. Here is the relevant clause
Article. VI.

Clause 2: This Constitution, and the Laws of the United States which shall be made in Pursuance thereof; and all Treaties made, or which shall be made, under the Authority of the United States, shall be the supreme Law of the Land; and the Judges in every State shall be bound thereby, any Thing in the Constitution or Laws of any State to the Contrary notwithstanding.

11. You must have also missed the part which states that ANY treaty
ratified by Congress becomes the supreme law of the land. Thus, as soon as the Geneva Conventions were signed and ratified, they became the supreme law of the land.

What grade did you get in that civics course anyway?

6. Yes, I agree. America is a signatory of the Geneva Convention ...
Edited on Tue Dec-06-05 08:05 AM by wake.up.america
and is thereby required by the American Constitution to abide by those laws.

7. Here is the next clause
under the same article

Clause 3: The Senators and Representatives before mentioned, and the Members of the several State Legislatures, and all executive and judicial Officers, both of the United States and of the several States, shall be bound by Oath or Affirmation, to support this Constitution; but no religious Test shall ever be required as a Qualification to any Office or public Trust under the United States.

5. "That is grounds for impeachment"
*So is lying during a State of the Union Address (it is the one time that Plausible Deniability does not apply)
*So is obstruction of justice
*So is conspiracy to commit treason (in the form of outing federal agents)
*So is election fraud

... It will never happen. Who's going to impeach him? The Democratic majority in Congress?

9. The Republican majority that now sits in Congress
should be impeached also for not instituting impeachment against the administration. They have broken their oaths of office to uphold the constitution too.

10. 9-11 commission failing report
Saw this on Hardball and I'm paraphrasing. "the president did not do HIS JOB by making sure others were doing theirs."
Why is this alone not grounds for impeachment? Why is nothing being done now. How can the Republicans sleep at night? He needs to go...now. I don't even think we can last another year with him.
