Springer's "Nixon speech" AUDIO from yesterday available here!
Edited on Tue Dec-06-05 08:31 AM by Mugsy
For those who missed it, Jerry did a great job on his radio show Monday morning on AAR. He pointed out that Bush's "Strategy for Victory in Iraq" speech was eerily similar to Nixon's 1969 "Strategy for Victory in Vietnam" speech. He then played a segment of Nixon's speech (the opening and end, not the entire 30 minute speech, which mostly talked about negotiations with Russia), but substituted every occurrence of the word "Vietnam" with Bush saying "Iraq".

The result was a real eye opener!

I clipped the audio from yesterdays show.

(I have a transfer limit that could be easily exceeded by too many downloads, so I ask anyone that can to please download and repost the file where you can for sharing. "Bittorrent" would be great.)

5. Hope you're sitting down when you do.
I hope you're not driving when you hear it. You might run off the road as you gawk wide-eyed at your radio in disbelief! :)

Second verse same as the first! For whatever reason I love the 60's and studying that era (especially with Bobby Kennedy and MLK junior) and everything from Johnson to Nixon's speeches are the same. Could they get introuble for palagarizing?

8. Thanks for reposting.
Thanks for providing a second link.

My bandwidth is likely to run out by the time everyone that needs to hear it, does.
