When we get back and power, here's what we will do with Rush
We will arrest him, hold him indefinately without charging him, refuse to acknowledge his status as a US Citizen, and consider him a "terrorist".

Then, according to Limbaugh's own words, we will be free to torture and harass him as much as we choose, until he gives us the information he knows (and, if it turns out he doesn't know anything and is innocent, well, we'll just keep torturing him until he says otherwise).

After all, he's not human. He's a terrorist (or, so we will claim).

He doesn't deserve basic rights.

Of course, if Rush were held to his own standards and proclaimations, he would still be married to his first wife and he would be in jail.

3. Sundance
I was watching the Sundance channel last night, they were showing what GITMO would be ike if you were a Terrorist. Just caught the last few minutes of the program, but I wouldn't want to be located there. Maybe Rush would like it.

It was called Torture: The Guantanamo Guidebook

and was really horrifying. Some of these guys were opting out of the "experiment" after only two days because they couldn't take it anymore...some prisoners at Gitmo have been there four years under these extreme conditions. It makes me so ashamed of our government. I only caught the last half hour or so of this, but my husband couldn't watch even that much and had to leave the room.

13. Oh, just little things
like putting them bound in solitary confinement with no light and white noise playing loudly in their ears 24 hours a day, other forms of sensory deprivation and continual disruption, no sleep, constant belittlement, smearing them with menstrual fluid and feces, hiring prostitutes to come in and sexually harass them, homosexual advances, Koran desecration, shaving their heads and beards and being forced to stand naked in front of the other "prisoners." The participants, some of whom seemed to recognize the "need" for these procedures before the experiment, completely changed their tune at the end of four days.

15. I'll bet the only reason the lasted four days
is because they had to prove how macho they were.

Makes you wonder why they hate us, doesn't it?

8. And his drug addiction funds terrorism
So, by extension, he already is a terrorist!

Lets torture him until he tells us everything we want to know.

16. Well he has been speaking for the enemy lately.
He has been telling us specifically that Democrats are aiding the enemy. I am under the assumption that he has a source of knowledge and would not just spout off as if he knows their mind without truth. He seems very sure of his words so he must have knowledge that others do not. I would think a true patriot would want to find out the source of his special knowledge. Or would someone suggest the mighty Rush would substitute opinion as fact...

17. I would hope we would let him exercise his right to free speech...
Edited on Tue Dec-06-05 04:30 PM by tx_dem41
whether we like what he has to say or not. No, he doesn't have a RIGHT to a radio program (that's up to the broadcasters), but he does have the right to say what he wants to (short of the proverbial "FIRE!" in the theatre) on that program.

This comment is outside of any re-institution of the Fairness Doctrine (about which I have big reservations).

because you believe that is what he is advocating? How does that make you any better than him?

22. I don't condone torture. Its just a different perspective
This guy is on the airwaves advocating cruel and inhumane torture methods that could be used on people who may not have even done anything wrong. To the right wing, all you need to be in order to be a "terrorist" is non-American and captured by our troops.

He thinks someone who picks up a gun and tries to fight in the streets of Baghdad should be tortured, so we can try to gain information?

He thinks its ok to just grab people on suspicion of wrongdoing, take them to Gitmo, and torture them? And then he mocks them and profits from their misery?

He's not human.

I am not advocating torture. But if this is how Rush thinks people should be treated, then maybe I am just saying I hope he gets the society he wants...

24. Ehh, we're racing toward it anyway. There's nothing that can stop it
Lets just say, I am reminded of 1984, where proud and loyal party members are eventually discarded, and are done in by the very same tactics and methods that they embraced.

Can't think of that character's name, that guy who was working to refine Newspeak and was a total FReeper, and who was turned in for thought crimes by his FReeper son...
