Books for Liberals
For the last several months I've been posting a site dedicated to books likely to be of interest to liberals, and I've now got useful information on a couple hundred current and classic progressive-oriented titles.

If you're a reading liberal (and I'd hope that would be a redundancy) I'd cordially invite you to visit the48er for some very brief, pithy summaries, reviews, and related info regarding hundreds of current and classic books that progressives might find worthwhile.

1. Awesome!
I'm a librarian. Do you take suggestions?

I'm looking for books that were first published no earlier than last month, or preferably those due out in December.

3. Great site
I was looking for the review/summary of the Bill Maher book (the name escapes me), but maybe it didn't meet your timeline for when it was published. I ordered it online for an X-Mas gift and wanted to check out what kind of reviews it got.

Anyway, thank you for the site- it looks like a great resource!

9. Thank You
Yes, the Maher book (New Rules) came out in July -- a couple months before I got started. I've been trying to stick to books published within the previous month or so, so I missed it.

I'm keeping up with current titles reasonably well, though. I'd guess that 48 out of my last 50 book posts were for titles published in either November or October.

I'd like to maintain that basic approach until the Republican Party is officially dissolved.

8. I'll keep any eye out then
For what's being released (my suggestions were all older than December).

American Dynasty: Aristocracy, Fortune, and the Politics of Deceit in the House of Bush

10. Thanks for the Recommendation
That one definitely would have been on my list, but I'm now limiting myself to books published within the last month -- two at most. I've missed soooo many good ones over the years -- wish I'd started long ago (and far away).
