Randy & 'the boys': Scandal figure tied to Iran Contra Drug Trafficking
*World Exclusive*
Dec 6 2005--Venice,FL.
by Daniel Hopsicker

http://www.madcowprod.com/

San Diego businessman Brent Wilkes, a key figure in the Randy “Duke” Cunningham bribery scandal—as well as the Justice Department investigation of Republican lobbyist Jack Abramoff—worked in Honduras during the 1980’s for a company accused by federal prosecutors of deep involvement in cocaine trafficking.

World Finance Corp., the MadCowMorningNews has learned, achieved notoriety during the Iran Contra Scandal for highly questionable activities in Honduras.

"It was drugs, it was money-laundering, it was everything," South Florida detective James Rider told Robert Perry of The Consortium at the time. "I know the CIA was in there somewhere."

"Police and federal prosecutors reported pressure from Washington and CIA headquarters in Langley to back off WFC. Too many of WFC's principals, it turned out, had cooperated with U.S. intelligence."

3. Especially his interview with Amanda Keller, Atta's girlfriend.
He scooped Larry King on that one, eh?

Can you imagine? The ratings!

LIVE ON LARRY KING!

THE TERRORISTS GIRLFRIEND SPEAKS!

WILD PARTIES! SEX AND DRUGS! A MYSTERIOUS PLANE FROM WASHINGTON MEETING WITH THE HIJACKERS!

I guess ratings DON'T mean everything...

7. The lack of responses to this thread is indicative...

Of how they get away with it. Even with the facts easily available, the majority of the brainwashed masses refuse to believe the truth, or somehow pretend to ignore it...

Depressing...

But, what a difference since those stories first hit the headlines and Fitz started actively prosecuting the Plame case. Most people still haven't heard about the Larry Franklin OSP-AIPAC case that's lurking out there. And, then there's Abramoff!

Don't be depressed. We're winning -- they're on the run from the FBI. Isn't that a refreshing about-face?

17. They slyly brush it off as conspiracy theory (tinfoil type)....
then would rather have us buy into some sort of "The Matrix"-based fantasy.

19. Those who read, know better.
If you've picked up The New Yorker, Harper's, The Atlantic, Esquire or most of the other literate American periodicals, you'll know that something is seriously wrong with this Administration, and that it's the WH policy advisors who are really crazy.

We at DU are actually becoming almost mainstream. Get used to it.

"The Matrix" is a paranoid comic strip for teens. But, people who make the decisions in this country have better sources of information.

25. I've got some doubts about this
I went to check out World Finance Corp. after this thread went up last night, and everything I could find said that it was set up in the early 70's in Florida and collapsed in 1978. So the organization of the same name that Wilkes founded in DC in the early 80's can't be the one with all the juicy scandals attached to it.

I'm still hoping for some deeper connection to show up. There's no doubt that Wilkes was bopping down to Honduras with visiting Congressmen. But at the moment, I'd have to say it looks like Hopsicker stumbled this time.

4. Down the rabbit hole we go.
It would take YEARS to mete out justice to the thousands of covert criminals that have run rampant for the CIA/NSA/FBI/DEA/ATF in the last 50 years...

All in the name of "freedom" and "liberty"...

5. Pull out the Kerry Report - its a template for the Abramoff-Wilkes scams
Same modus operandi, same shady rogue CIA-linked characters, same old, same old Bush-Mafia-terrorist banker ties. This was what Sibel was onto before she got yanked out of the FBI.

Edited on Tue Dec-06-05 06:22 PM by leveymg
The Bush Mob still had the Cold War to hide behind. The fight against the Soviet Union excused practically ANYTHING in the 1980s.

No longer. They aren't going to get away with it this time.

8. Too Much Money To Be Stolen
The day the Supreme Court handed the treasury to these crooks, the corruption line formed at the right. Incredible how many Iran-Contra and BCCI figures seem to pop up regarding this regime and the way it goes about its dirty business.

Yes, these are excellent articles but I fear they are just "too out there" for most. Not just the corporate media...that has never wanted to take on the BFEE...but for those who pick up this story without a long look back at how we've gotten to the mess we're in now. It doesn't fit in a 2 minute TV bit or can be "sexed up"...but it's cost thousands of lives and bigger and better than ever.

I do note that we're not hearing about the drug abuse problems we heard about in the 80s...without a Democratic Congress there has been no need for Repugnicans to filter their cash...they just doled it out.

Here's hoping there's more on this story. Thank you for posting it.

11. I just got it! I just got it! I've been thinking all day, who could
these super dark prisoners be, in their super dark prisons in Romania (and god knows where else)? What could Condi be defending here? Why can't we know who we are imprisoning and torturing and dumping into unmarked graves?

Mohammed Atta, and fellow merry tricksters! The guys running around giving Islam a bad name, and forgetting where their passports were! The guys whose doubles were alive and well in Yemen!

Just a wild guess. Been thinking about it. These poor suckers are on my mind, who've been spirited away on "black" flights to nowhere. WHO ARE THEY?

16. They're the double-agents -- like KSM and bin al-Shehhi-who survived
the 9/11 attacks.

Their memories are being selectively wiped clean with drugs and torture. Google Ewing Cameron and Operation Artichoke. The double agents in custody didn't really know the identities of their control agents, just the cut-outs, but even that information is too valuable to leave intact.

I wonder why they didn't just terminate them on September 12.

23. final graphs of the article, for emhasis
So calling Wilkes an important figure in the various federal investigations currently underway may be something of an understatement.

The Cunningham Abramoff Scandal is no longer about greedheads gaming the system.

The essential question posed by the Abramoff-Cunningham scandal is chilling in its ramifications:

Did U.S. intelligence agencies assist in funneling rivers of cash from suspect defense contractors into the campaign coffers of pro-war Republican lawmakers?

Was U.S. taxpayer money secretly used to subvert American democracy?

Stay tuned.
