Update on the hostages in Iraq

I just received a message from my mentor, who happens to be the ex-wife of one of the hostages. She wants to thank everybody for the prayers and light being sent to this situation, and says that it's definitely helping. She has received a message that we should keep it up, and that while we should send light to everyone involved, we should focus on the mothers of the kidnappers. We should ask them to talk to their sons.

I know some of you may not put much stock in such "messages," but this lady has been right on about these things as long as I've know her. She is the reason why I am not in a wheelchair today, why I am healthy enough to go to school and be an activist. She has a real gift.

Now, the hostages are supposed to be executed on Thursday, which actually starts Wednesday night here in North America. So for one last time, I would like to ask all DU'ers of faith to join me in sending light to this situation for the safe return of these good men.

I do my best to send as much as I can but it get's draining. I highly believe in what your friend is saying and can sense she is true since I too can get messages and things like that. I've been praying and sending energy as much as I can and on a Christian board I go on people have been praying too. So hopefully all of the prayers and positive thoughts and energy helps. I really hope and pray. :( Damn asshole Bush for not helping!!!!!!
At least Jimmy Carter got the hostages out with Iran! Bush doesn't give a damn! I found out last night that one of the hostages used to be a student here in my town. :( I really hope and pray and am sending energy that they get out. :(

They are definitely in my thoughts and prayers. I have met members of the CPT and they really do wonderful work. They don't proselytize but go in, roll up their sleeves and work for the people that really need them. They are the light, truly.

It is already Thursday in Iraq. May they be safe and have peace in their hearts. I wish the same for their captors.

as Freedom Angel said, it is very draining work continually sending light over there. I always have to ask that God be mindful of me and my needs when doing this work, and that the energy come not from me personally. That I be only a vessel for it. Just remember, you can never run out of love, so love all these people and work from that place when doing this.

that one of the hostages, Ron Schulz, is a local man from Eagle River, a suburb of Anchorage. I don't know Mr. Schulz, but I'm sure his family and friends here would appreciate your prayers and/or positive thoughts, as well.

ed. Mr. Schulz was apparently taken hostage separately from these other people, but he has appeared in an Al Jazeera tape, as well. He is an industrial electrician.
