What are the odds the Cable News Whores Have The Plane Shooting All Wrong?
Judging by their reporting on almost every single issue relating to war, terror or disaster in the last few years, they will probably have this dead wrong.

The breathlessness with which they pimp the story, their endless nonsensical speculation and the obligatory repition of a clip of some guy running is quite funny if it wasn't so tragic.

2. A pathetic attempt to be the sole reporters of this terrible incident.

3. Now saying he's American
and 44 years old.

So, by now they know whether or not he had a bomb. I haven't heard the disclaimer have you?

And have you noticed when Jean Meseur (sp?) speaks, she makes Kyra Phillips sound like a rank amateur?

7. I believe MSNBC said it appears he did not have a bomb.
CNN's "analysis" (don't know who was speaking) was that if he had claimed having a bomb while on the plane, the plane would not have gone to the boarding gate. The threat took place just after deboarding on the jetway.

The whole situation sounds so fucked up and tragic. His wife must be going through hell right now. The marshalls have to contend with the fact that they shot an unarmed man who, at worst, acted like a crazy asshole. I don't mean to sound insensitive. If he was American, I'm guessing he'd have to be a bit off his nut to claim having a bomb in a post 9-11 world. Rational people know not to even joke about shit like that these days.

6. I am beginning to wonder if HE said he had a bomb, or his pissed off WIFE
said it without realizing her statements had CONSEQUENCES.

There is more to this, I am sure.

5. CNN was speculating wildly when I surfed by
while MSNBC at least had a passenger giving a breathless account of what she had seen and heard. CNN and Fox felt it necessary to exonerate the air marshals. CNN was pursuing the idea that it was linked to the Colombian origin of the flight even when the reported facts clearly indicated that it occurred after Miami passengers had boarded the plane. Grossly irresponsible chitchat "journalism."
