Junior has created a monster that's coming to eat him. (ROTFLMAO!)
See, he used these people to get their votes. Groups like Focus on the Family and evangelical powerhouses that hold sway over their flocks told the devoted to vote for Junior and he would put Christ back in Christmas. He promised to make America a "Christian nation." They believe that he OWES them. Tsk. Tsk. First they hear some mega-churches won't hold services on Christmas Sunday and now this - no mention of Jesus Christ in the White House holiday card.

'Holiday' Cards Ring Hollow for Some on Bushes' List

By Alan Cooperman
Washington Post Staff Writer
Wednesday, December 7, 2005; Page A01

Snip

This month, as in every December since he took office, President Bush sent out cards with a generic end-of-the-year message, wishing 1.4 million of his close friends and supporters a happy "holiday season."

Snip

"This clearly demonstrates that the Bush administration has suffered a loss of will and that they have capitulated to the worst elements in our culture," said William A. Donohue, president of the Catholic League for Religious and Civil Rights.
Bush "claims to be a born-again, evangelical Christian. But he sure doesn't act like one," said Joseph Farah, editor of the conservative Web site WorldNetDaily.com. "I threw out my White House card as soon as I got it."

Religious conservatives are miffed because they have been pressuring stores to advertise Christmas sales rather than "holiday specials" and urging schools to let students out for Christmas vacation rather than for "winter break." They celebrated when House Speaker J. Dennis Hastert (R-Ill.) insisted that the sparkling spectacle on the Capitol lawn should be called the Capitol Christmas Tree, not a holiday spruce.

Then along comes a generic season's greeting from the White House, paid for by the Republican National Committee. The cover art is also secular, if not humanist: It shows the presidential pets --two dogs and a cat -- frolicking on a snowy White House lawn.

1. And do you think these so-called 'Christians' ...
... ever wonder what happened to Bush's Constitutional amendment banning gay marriage -- you know, the one he CAMPAIGNED on?

Not only are these people non-Christians, they're STUPID non-Christians -- don't even realize they've been HAD!

Have President Bush, First Lady And Republican National Committee Joined 'War On Christmas'?
Wednesday, November 30, 2005

Americans United Asks Jerry Falwell Why He Hasn't Objected To White House's Holiday Greetings

The Rev. Jerry Falwell and his Religious Right cohorts have been complaining for weeks now about government agencies and store clerks saying “Happy Holidays” instead of “Merry Christmas” but it looks like Falwell forgot to tell President George W. Bush, First Lady Laura Bush and the Republican National Committee about the preferred religiously correct greeting.

The White House’s 2005 holiday card is just out, and it doesn’t mention the word “Christmas” once.

12. You know if I went to a house with those ornaments on a tree...
I think they would be accidentally brushed off the tree and shattered as so many beautiful blown glass ornaments are each year.

6. Excuse me
but "the worst elements in our culture" are the people who don't celebrate Christmas? You know, not the murderers or rapists or child molesters. It's those damn non-Xtians. They're the WORST.

8. Donahue is a nut
""This clearly demonstrates that the Bush administration has suffered a loss of will and that they have capitulated to the worst elements in our culture," said William A. Donohue, president of the Catholic League for Religious and Civil Rights. "

Most of statements are word for word with the fundies, and not Catholic tradionalists. It is the political fundiness that is often pushed.
