A group of parents in Osceola County, Fla., are protesting the release of an elementary school teacher accused of inappropriately touching several students, according to a Local 6 News report.

Osceola County sheriff's detectives arrested Chestnut Elementary School teacher Raymond Anthony Luaders, 55, Wednesday on eight counts of lewd and lascivious molestation and two counts of battery.

An investigation was launched into Luaders after a parent reported to the school district in November that students were apparently being touched in an inappropriate manner.

Detectives interviewed other students who gave similar stores.

I almost always enjoyed "huggy" female teachers as a kid. :hide:

i doubt a female teacher would be slapped on the wrist if she was accused of touching kids inappropriately. this man described himself as "huggy."

OCALA, Fla. -- A former teacher who pleaded guilty to having sex with a 14-year-old student will have to wait to resolve the remaining charges against her after a Marion County judge rejected the plea agreement, a prosecutor said Thursday.

Debra Lafave, 25, was sentenced to three years of house arrest and seven years probation after pleading guilty last month in Hillsborough County to two counts of lewd and lascivious battery.

That plea agreement was supposed to also resolve similar charges in Marion County, where Lafave allegedly had sex with the boy in a sport utility vehicle while his 15-year-old cousin drove.

But Judge Hale Stancil wasn't happy with an agreement the Marion County prosecutors reached with defense attorney John Fitzgibbons and asked for some changes, said Ric Ridgeway, a spokesman for the State Attorney's Office.
