A Freep who leaves me comments gets deleted because his points are stupid.

On John Lennon post, a Freep left me a "Imagine My Foot Up Your Ass" comment.

so the world can enjoy the idiocy as a group.

My message boards at www.headonradio.com have been infested since almost Day 1 by right wing freaks.

I've let them stay for the most part. I *want* the normal people to see the garbage. Moreso, I hope good, decent, upstanding decent liberal people will fight back.

We have to learn that there's no common ground with these freaks, that when you extend the olive branch to these creeps, you draw black a bloody stump.

I almost feel sorry for the likes of Joe Lieberman. He's a lamb being led to the slaughter and he's bleating merrily along while his Republican masters are honing the long knives to a keeeeeeen edge.

is that when they see a post up on a left leaning or even moderate board, they think they "win." You see, it's not about logic, it's not about facts, it's not about reason, it's about getting the poison out there.

I know, I'm on IRC, and if one of the known Freeper trolls gets off a TOW before an op spots and boots him, he's "won" and will come back again and again, spit and run.

Of course, the DU idea of posting them occasionally as "Hate Mail" is a great idea, just isolate them all off by themselves, one semiliterate pile of excrement after another.

People tend to get the point, then, and the spewers get a bit discouraged at not being able to defile an otherwise reasonable discussion.

instead of fighting them, doesn't it weaken our side of the argument?

If our only recourse is censorship, it makes it appear that our arguments are on shaky foundations in the "marketplace of ideas."
