Let's not stoop down to the level of FReepers. re: death penalty

There have been a lot of threads in regards to this issue lately.

All I want to say is that it's OK if you're pro-death penalty, it may not be the most popular stance here, but it's acceptable. One thing I've noticed in some threads that is not so acceptable are people saying they are going to cheer/throw a party, etc. when they execute (or "fry") a certain death row inmate. Those are things we would expect to hear out of freepers, not here on DU. The fact that the offender is going to be executed an justice served under the law should be enough satisfaction in and of itself.

OK, I'm done with my little rant.

10. No one on that thread calls for cheering or throwing a party

to celebrate the execution of the murderous Tookie Williams. Nor is anyone calling for him to be "fried". That language is being used by tookie's cookies and anti-DP posters to demonize those people who see Tookie's execution as justice. And by you.

She was having it out with someone who was making such comments earlier in the day.

Some of the "deleted message" posts contained some nasty comments before the moderators got to them.

The mods are out in full force now, so maybe my rant is irrelevant.

The "deleted message" post was in the thread she had just come from http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=104x5560689 where a different (but like-minded) member suggested that a person that supported the death penalty for Tookie Williams was a freeper.
