* is F**cken Delusional, NYT
From this article in todays NYTimes;
http://www.nytimes.com/2005/12/10/national/10bush.html?adxnnl=1&adxnnlx=1134228635-z3cVtsaGFmLALuf9W008yA

"President Bush suggested Friday that history will vindicate his decision to invade Iraq, saying he believed that a half century from now, it will be regarded as important a transition for the world as the democratization of Japan was after World War II.

"I'm absolutely convinced that some day, 50 or 60 years from now, an American president will be speaking to an audience saying, 'Thank goodness a generation of Americans rose to the challenge and helped people be liberated from tyranny,' " Mr. Bush said. " 'Democracy spread and the world is more peaceful for it.' "

He thinks he's freaking FDR. He actually thinks 9/11 was Pearl Harbor and the little piss ant of a war in Iraq is WW III. He really doesn't give a shit about what we say now. Because he will be proclaimed one of the greatest Presidents ever. He is probably scouting sites for the Memorial he thinks they will build to him.

We are being ruled by a delusional twit with a messianic complex.

2. Oh, he's delusional alright...

and the scary thing is that he has his finger on the button that could launch the REAL WWIII. And, given his messianic complex, as you say, I wouldn't be at all surprised if he were to justify initiating a global war. I know his PNACer and fundie buddies would just love to see it!

The United States really does have the "Chinese curse" as we are indeed living in interesting times. :scared: :nuke:

ON EDIT: No, Mr. "Too stupid to be" President... you will not be remembered as you hope. You will be remembered as the most ignorant and most dangerous president this country has ever had! :grr:

4. He left out the date to make that statement correct.
'Thank goodness in the year 2008 a generation of Americans rose to the challenge and helped people be liberated from tyranny. Democracy spread and the world is more peaceful for it.'

5. He doesn't see himself as FDR
He sees himself as Lincoln, the Great Emancipator. He thinks Iraqi citizens will hang his picture on the wall for generations to come and his birthday will be a national holiday in Iraq.

8. I thought he made some kind of statement a few years back that
Edited on Sat Dec-10-05 10:57 AM by bullwinkle428
essentially said it doesn't matter what people will think 100 years down the road, because we'll all be dead and they can think what they want, or something like that (regarding his legacy as president). All of a sudden, he's concerned now? :wtf:

9. rove's decided the only way
monkey boy can possibly say anything about the lives their LIES have cost with this war on Iraq is to project it 50 years into the future.

monkeyboy hasn't told the truth about anything in 5 years..why should we believe he has a FUCKING CRYSTAL BALL?

I want to hear a Dem Leader counter this with a retort that puts bush in a straight jacket where he belongs..Come on Dean let's hear it!

Course the dlc thinks it's business as usual.. enabling the smirking monkey.

11. He's probably visualizing "Mt. Bushmore"
Hell, if they can chisel Jefferson's face off and replace it with Nero's, the monument will be completely Democrat-free.

14. After reading an interview from **'s former professor...
who cited how Bush would say something, then 30 seconds later, lie, and say and didn't even say it --despite the whole class as witnesses -- nothing this toad does surprises me. If anything, 50-60 years from now, someone will have the guts and/or data to prove conclusively that for 8 (god forbid) years this country was run by a delusional, drug-addict, alcoholic, ego-maniac. (Just as it took years to verify that President Wilson's wife viritually ran the country during her husband's near vegetative state.)
