RWers are SOOO stoopid - Happy Holidays has been said for centuries...
We are entering the month of the "holy Days"...remember the 12 days of Christmas...

For centuries Christians have greeted each other with "Happy Holidays!"

Now, all of a sudden, in the USA the RW wack jobs actually believe that this is some left wing culture War ploy?

Breaking! The band "Alabama" sell out to the left wing homosexual agenda!

Artist/Band: Alabama
Lyrics for Song: Happy Holidays
Lyrics for Album: Alabama Christmas
Smilin' faces on city streets, crowded shoppers, busy feet
And every smile just seems to say, we're having some Happy Holidays

Twinklin' lights on Christmas trees, kids up on Santa's knew
Busy lines on telephones, sending a Merry Christmas home

Bells ringing everywhere, season spirit in the air
Up and down the avenue, holiday dreams comin' true

A choir singing songs of cheer, carols we all love to hear
Rudolph with his glowin' nose, lovers under mistletoe

Postman bringin' Christmas cards, reindeer out in the yard
Frosty with his eyes of coal, present wrapped in pretty bows
Sidewalks full of happy eyes, flakes fallin' from the sky
Boys and girls at the big parade to see St. Nick up on his sleigh

The scene is set, it's beautiful, sounds of Peace, Joy and Love
From all of us we'd like to say, have yourself some Happy Holidays

1. more RW idiocy
See, they don't remember the twelve days of Christmas. They have no idea whether the twelve days come before or after Christmas, or why there are twelve days instead of eleven or thirteen. And they have no idea what Christians have or haven't done for centuries. As with everything else, if RWers knew anything they'd be less of a problem.

2. Yes, utterly clueless
My guess is that none of them even knows that the "holi" = "holy," and that by flying into a murderous rage at the word "holiday," they are, on some level, denying the religious/holy significance of the day they're celebrating!

Who knows, maybe there's even some residual anti-Catholicism lurking here. After all, isn't it the Catholics who celebrate several related "holy" days--St. Michael's, etc--at the same general time? And isn't the 12 Feast Days of Christmas (celebrating, I believe, the journey of the Magi?) more of a Catholic thing?

10. And didn't they start saying
"happy holiday's" about a decade or two ago because Christmas was becoming too commercilized? This time of the year there are many different people of faith celebrating and saying "happy holiday's" is just being polite and remembering all people this time of the year. These rwing conservative Christian's are getting so rude and selfish. They need to remember the second commandment from Jesus: love thy neighbor as thy self.

3. I think Johnny Cash had it right
when told "Your fans are gospel folk, Johnny. They're Christians, and they don't wanna hear you singing to a bunch of murderers and rapists, tryin' to cheer 'em up."

"Then they ain't Christians."

The people who bitch about the word "holiday" are not Christians.

"Blessed Holy Days"......Man, these freeptards just can't be happy unless they can get their shorts in a knot over somethin'.....they'll just make shit up just so they can be angry at somebody....what kind of mental illness is that?

5. I can remember back when wishing someone a
Merry Christmas wasn't considered politically correct because there were many non-Christians in our midst, who didn't celebrate Christmas.

6. I only say Merry Christmas on December 25th anyway
'Cause it's, you know, the actual day of Christmas. Today is December 10th. I'd feel like an idiot saying Merry Christmas to the cashier at the grocery store, even if I know for a fact that he's a practicing Christian. Today isn't Christmas!! It is, however, the holiday season, which most people consider to be from Thanksgiving through the New Year. Therefore, it seems perfectly appropriate to say "Happy Holidays" during this time. Not to mention it's far more inclusive and respectful toward the millions of people in this country who, for whatever reason, don't celebrate Christmas.

What is so hard about that for the wingnuts to understand?
