Is OxyBoy Limbaugh still scamming his fans with the Adopt-A-Soldier thing?
Edited on Sat Dec-10-05 05:16 PM by Lastlaughin08
Last I heard he had fleeced 12,000 of his brain-dead followers in the Adopt-A-Soldier scam he was running. (He gets suckers to pay for a subscription to his drivel-filled official newsletter and donate it to a soldier, while he pockets the $49.95 fee. Nice little scam, if one had no moral compass or sense of decency.)

If I was in Iraq the last thing I would want is a supply of shithouse paper from that shameless colostomy bag.

1. Yep! Heard him hustling it Thursday afternoon
If he wasn't a Repiglican, he'd be investigated.

2. Yes, investigate him for consumer fraud.
He is shameless. And I have said it over and over, since 1990, that he has single handedly dismantled the consensus of this nation by telling the Right that they don't have to think, just hate. And listen to him. With three weeks of college. He is now invincible. And will support the camps he would like to put us in without hesitation.

5. As much as I hate Rush I don't see any fraud here
I see a complete asshole with no sense of decency or morals. Maybe they could get him on war-profiteering, but there is no misrepresentation here he's not misleading or fooling anyone. He's just a scumbag doing what comes naturally. Hey Dittoheads, if you want to send something to a soldier, try, armor, or if you can't afford that try toilet paper, candy, magazines, soap something fucking useful :eyes:

8. Limbaugh's letter is nothing but toilet paper, so it's useful that way
It's shameful what he does for a buck.

4. Dumb question, but it Rush's newsletter an email newsletter?
If it is, he has absolutely no cost whatsoever for collecting that $49.95 except maybe what he pays his staff to deposit the check in the bank. I was discussing this with some freepers on Hannity's site, they told me that I didn't understand, that Rush was matching the donation. :spank: I told them it still wasn't costing Rush a penny, and he had collected $600,000 so far. Then they challenged me on supporting the troops. I told them that I bought a $50 phone card that would go directly to the troops so a soldier could speak to his family instead of lining Rush's pockets. That effectively ended the conversation.

7. NOWHERE is it stated that Rush matches the donation!!!!
This is what his site says:

When you give an "Adopt A Soldier" subscription, your gift will be matched with a member of the military for a full year.

In other words, you paid for a newsletter, so he'll 'match' your paid newsletter with a soldier to receive it.

That's it. TELL WHATEVER DITTOHEADS ARE SPEWING THAT CRAP THAT THEY'RE FULL OF SHIT.

6. Huh. His "web site" has no contact information.
I wanted to ask him what he's doing with the money. Someone should call his show and ask him on the air, I think. I don't have the stomach to listen let alone call. But, someone with greater intestinal fortitude really should. And ask him if it's going to support his oxy habit too.

9. I wonder if the soldiers are even getting his crappy newsletter?
It would be a great story to track down the Rush Limbaugh newsletter shipments. Would he not be committing fraud if he wasn't sending the newsletters?
