I am all for free speech but...
Edited on Sat Dec-10-05 04:07 PM by BoneDaddy
isn't this like shouting fire in a crowded theatre?

What is the motive of these folks? Naturally, given that the previous rally went so well (sarcasm) shouldn't this be relagated to a dangerous, inflammatory and seen as hate speech? Not sure of it.

10. I agree in principle
I hear what you are saying...as much as I dislike what I am hearing from the neo-nazi's and their ilk...but my question has more to do with when does it cross the line into conscious inflamatory action that incites rioting, which is what happened last time. I do not agree, however, with what the black community members did in response. Again, this is a gray area.
That is why i stated the "fire in the theatre" response which is not covered under "free speech".

Such a shame that our world protects the scum's opinion, yet if their people ran things the way they want, you, me and most others in here would be killed, arrested or in jail.

2. I think they should have the right to protest
and I also think that people should have the right to kick the shit out of them.

The police should take a walk when it happens.

4. Then you're not for free speech.
The 1st amendment covers everything, not just what you think it should.

8. What?
That can't be true.

I want to strongly imply that Chase Manhattan and is going to crash and burn.

There. I said it. Have I committed a crime?

6. To quote
"I'm saying that if you believe in freedom of speech then you believe in freedom of speech for views you don't like, I mean Goebbels was in favour of freedom of speech for views he liked, right, so was Stalin. If you're in favour of freedom of speech that means you're in favour of freedom of speech precisely for views you despise, otherwise you're not in favour of freedom of speech."

9. It's no more obscene speech than ...
... some of the violent ravings in rap music.

Let 'em talk. I, for one, reject their creed.
