Experts Urge Less Focus on Antioxidants

Moderation, excercise and variety. I still think antioxidants are more important than not.

Tired of trying to keep track of all the so-called superfoods you're supposed to eat?

You know, oregano that packs 42 times more antioxidants than apples, cooked tomatoes that may prevent prostate cancer, and chocolate and wine that may or may not be health foods?

Then here's the good news — you can stop trying...

1. Eat a lot of greens. Take the basic vitamins.
Get exercise and pay attention to what makes you feel good or bad.

It's not really too difficult to do most of it. And of course, keep alert for warnings AND news of new, good things to try.

I have medical problems, but since I developed them, I also decided that I would enjoy my life as much as possible, no matter what shape and state my body was in. It's worked out pretty good since then.

Of course, the spinach-as-comfort-food thing makes my family a little worried, but that's more of a psychiatry issue. :)

2. I am lucky
Spinach, Broccoli...these are a few of my favorite foods! I love to take a nice organic tortilla melt a little cheese on it and slap on a handful of baby spinach on it and roll. Quick, easy and fun.

I freak people out munching on organic broccoli and having a mix of oatmeal/yogurt for breakfast.

I think we'd get along pretty well from the advise you have given. :-)
