katrina trailer camps
I recently went to Dallas and back--from El Paso--this was by auto--
The influx of Katrina trailers is still going on----pass trailers headed for texas every few hours ---
These are make shift housing for the poor--- I also live on route I 10 where I have observed this going on for months---I talk to people pulling these things and they drop them in large areas where trailers are stacked up by the thousands------

I know reading different articles that they are setting up large camps for the poor where they are supposed to live until they get back on their feet----good luck when these people make minimum wage at walmart and kmart---dont have transportation and have to live in these trailer parks until they find suitable housing else where---How in the hell are you supposed to find suitable housing --work at walmart, raise kids and survive ----

I have just tried to research stories on trailers camps and come up with many stories of camps being set up---but guess what ---no f--king pictures to speak of-----its like a vast conspiracy against the poor----it seems to me that the press is more interested in whats going on in hollywood then printing pictures of what taking place in this country---

I was just reading an article about Punta Gorda Fl---and their trailer camp set up from (last) years storm there---
It seems that now they want the people to move on---since this was supposed to be temporary housing----the land speculators have moved in and baldly state---land is to valuable to let poor people live here and rebuild when we can put of large condominiums and resort areas---hotels ---etc.

One other observation---all the money that used to go into road improvement in Texas and Im sure other states has now been sent to Iraq for Halliburton to skim off----the roads are deplorable and Im sure that this condition is not only in Texas but other states-----try running a semi on these interstates---before long it will not be possible anymore--

Its amazing how George----(not interested) Bush has torn this country down because he didnt do his homework before he lead this country into war----------------

It seems that no one in the press in concerned that we are headed for catastrophe---its beyond me---

1. If our friends in the press ignore this story over Christmas
they will be making a mistake.

So will we.

(And, btw, Hollywood is still in Southern Cal :) )
