My basic point: Brent Wilkes, one of the bribers of Duke Cunningham, was involved in the CIA cocaine trade of Iran-Contra. Tookie Williams (among others) as cofounder of Crips, distributed that and used the profits to grow the gang.

Brent Wilkes gives money to Schwazenegger, gets 2 appointments to State boards.
Tookie Williams on the other hand Dies tonight, on the 1 year anniversary of Gary Webb's suicide. Gary Webb broke the story of the Iran-Contra cocaine connection.

These people are all about death and power. And they ride in Limo's, and walk the streets free.

2. Attend Andover Academy, then on to Yale via affirmative action disguised as a "legacy" program. Be a C- student.

4. Graduate (supposedly) from Harvard Business School and then proceed to F*^%up every business you come into contact with and be labeled a success.
5. Be a drunken (confirmed) cokehead (for a time anyway) until the age of 40, after the age that most experimentation would have ended. (Being married and having 2 daughters didn't put a halt to that). At which time political convenience dictates that one must LOUDLY scream "praise Jesus" as if one didn't have a conscience or a sense of right and wrong prior to this mysterious event, consequently many people decide to give you a pass and decide that you should be POTUS. Okay enough people decide to vote for you and the UnSupreme Court makes a 5-4 decision on your behalf.

THEN you get to kill innocent Iraqis, maim thousands more, LIE your ass off to send over 2100 troops to their deaths, maim approx. 48K more, find innovative ways to torture, still LOUDLY screaming how christian you are, even as you act like the face of evil, THEN you get to sleep soundly in the White House.

OTOH, be born into poverty, make some HUGE mistakes. Turn things around and try to do something positive, actually seek to keep people from making the same mistakes, get nominated for a peace price. The choice is to allow you to continue to spend the rest of your life in prison where you could continue to try to be a positive influence on society, or the death penalty....and you get death.

Some people believe Tookie shouldn't be executed. But maybe someone else should.

Some people believe the death penalty is far more evil, or has the potential to be far more evil, than Tookie. They are opposed to the death penalty

I'm with the latter group. Tookie isn't one of my areas of exp0ertise and I don't much care if he's guilty as hell or pure as the driven snow.

Letting the state practice, as a matter of law, premeditated executions is sociopathic.

But then again, we have a sociopath as the head of state so I assume there is a relationship there.

think it is important to note that some are not convinced of Tookies guilt. Also worth noting that in January there will be consideration of how we should look at snitche's testimony. Tookie was put to death based on snitches that have been questioned about their "reliability". In 1 month's time, we will have more information on the validity of testimony of snitchs. Not only is Arnold a disgrace to my state just because, but he didn't have the courage to avoid the political agenda that goes with this decision.
I am with you, I'm not sure of Tookies guilt, but I am sure of the disgusting way our system fails so many.

Oh Yeah, I am still hopeful we will see bushco face a jury of OUR peers.
