What are "ear squats"?
I ran across this kinda odd Mayalsian news story which talked about a group of people in a night club raid taunting police by doing ear squats. I looked around a bit and found there is some controversial video there of a naked woman doing ear squats.

"The video clearly shows the woman standing naked in a room with some lockers to her right. The woman in uniform can be heard telling the woman in Bahasa Malaysia to pull her ears, squat and stand up. The naked woman did 10 ear squats."


Apparently, a method of humiliation.

2. What on earth would that be for?
Surely it isn't part of a strip-search procedure. I mean... they don't expect anything hidden there to just start falling out, right?

Maybe the stress on the abdominal muscles would force things out (yech).
That would explain the ear pull: the arms could not be used to reduce abdominal stress.

I'm sure that the guards find the humiliation factor to be a bonus.
