1. I do, but folks here
are busy chasing each other around with stakes at the moment.

At least it won't rise again, I would hate to see the undead version of American democracy...

Ah, the Supreme Court decison, no? Bush v. Gore (2000).
Edited on Mon Dec-12-05 11:34 PM by Maat
(I cheated - think a saw a reference to it earlier today.)

Yep - argued Dec. 11, 2000; decided Dec. 12, 2000.

4. I totally remember
And, is anyone really surprised that the media has let it pass without a word? By then, the press had all decided they were tired of the story, late in their Xmas shopping demands and, besides, "someone has to put an end to this." Not the voters, of course, but someone.

Shed a tear........

5. I'll never forget
It's what got me involved in politics and brought me to DU. Was at the 2000 coronation in the cold rain protesting with strangers I'd met over the internet.

The best article and book written on it is still "None Dare Call it Treason" by Vincent Bugliosi

8. I wish that I could wake up from this bad dream....
But after 5 years, I'm afraid it's reality.
