LOL! "Brokeback Mt."trailer at the "Narnia" screening tonight!
A friend just got back from seeing 'Narnia'& mentioned they showed the trailer of Brokeback Mountain as one of the trailers. IMO, this obviously was a joke by the projectionist or someone. He said ALOT of people were mumbling & making rude comments.I am REALLY looking forward to Seeing Brokeback, don't get me wrong. However, I think an adult movie shown during a screening of a family film is wrong. I'd feel the same way if they showed "Kill Bill' or 'Sin City or even any R rated film. IMO the subject matter isn't the point. Still, I think its kind of funny.

7. people "worry about the children". well, many children
have gay parents who don't hide their orientation from them. lot's of latent homophobia going on, even in the "progressive community". you can see it here at DU.

11. It's my personal goal to nip that in the bud.
I will not stand for hate of any kind. I will be exhausted, but it's my duty. I am shooting for the convection toaster oven this year. :-)

5. Well, just the mention of fundie
in a film freaks me out. We had to sit through previews for the S/M christo classic of the Passion of the Christ. . .

9. seeing a bloodied guy in a loincloth being beaten for 2 hours
is much better for the kids to see than two guys who love each other. :crazy:
