So who else is surprised by the fact Tookie co-founded the Crips?

I just read that a few minutes ago and it was quite a surprise.

Not only did he personally kill 4 people. He founded an 'organization' that's been responsible for a whole lot more.

SAN QUENTIN, California (CNN) -- Stanley Tookie Williams -- the co-founder of the violent Crips street gang who became an anti-gang crusader while on death row -- died by lethal injection early Tuesday for the 1979 killings of four people in two Los Angles robberies.

Nice to have read Tookie changed. If only he didn't slaughter so viciously for so little in the first place.

"Gang justice is, if you kill a member of our gang, we kill you -- and don't tell me anything about how you changed your life or what you're going to do," she said. "You kill, and we kill you. And that's what the United States of America is doing with this."

Well, this means the Crips are about to become a lot more violent. Add that to bird flue, global warming, melting ice caps, running out of room to grow crops, offshoring, economy fears, national debt, new war, and every other fear tactic the media loves lobbing at us.

That or we're all gang members of a gang called the United States of America. It depends on your point of view.

I am anti-death penalty, but I won't be mourning Mr. Williams. I mourn that we can't come up with a more appropriate penalty for this kind of crime, but we just haven't yet. I hope the famliy members at least have some peace this morning, but I kind of doubt they do.

recent execution was the PERFECT example of why the death penalty is unfair. A black guy killing a white is much more likely to be convicted and executed.

Williams is the kind of guy the death penalty is made for. I still have problems with the death penalty, but can't muster the effort to defend this guy.

Tookie was just a tool... baby Bushie always wanted to put Los Angeles under martial law like his Daddy did with Rodney King.

Resist violence or "they" win.

How many people who jumped on the "Tookie" bandwagon actually knew who he was and what he did?
