I'm not forgiving the man, I'm just tired of us using a type of punishment only done in rogue 3rd-world nations. The Death Penalty is not detering crimes and is a barbaric practice. Plus it's expensive as hell since there are so many appeals needed to go through (with taxpayers picking up the dime) AND it's very mis-balanced with a larger proportion of minorities and those from lower incomes sitting on death row.

Wake up - Tookie deserved to be behind bars but no one deserves the death penalty. It's a disgusting barbaric practice that makes us no better than the murderers we kill because we then become the murderers
