Well there aren't any riots in California today
We were promised that all hell would break loose in California if Tookie Williams was executed. I often listen to KGO radio in the mornings out of San Francisco, and it appears as if Californians are going to work this morning, taking their kids to school and going about their business today.

Just saying it's early. But I doubt anything will happen anyway.

Most ne'er do wells don't go to bed that early. Perhaps there was something good on TV at the time.

and by the way, you do not know half the story, the religious leaders, AND tookie told the gangs not to... the gangs even promisd to turn in any knuckle head in LA... I guess that man was far more mature in this sense than the ones braying for blood.

om NPR the latest Gallup poll on the death penalty - while it's down from a few years ago, it still stands (I think) at 64% approval - 64% too many for my taste...

12. Executions are scheduled for the middle of the night to neutralize
the potential for riots in the prison.

I guess the same applies for the general populace.

Street Gangs are unpopular with the general public. Thus they are unlikely to Riot over the execution of a street gang founder.
