or "I made the decision"? It's always about "I". It's never about "we" or "us". When he says, "I made the decision to go after Saddam", does it strike an uneasy nerve anywhere? When he says, "I would make the same decision today", does that not give you pause? Don't you find it disturbing that such a low-level intellect is making such decisions all by himself?

1. Yes indeed. Also, when he uses the word 'progress.'
somebody told him to use that word a lot when there's nothing good to report.
as in 'we're making progress toward the end of this conflict.'and similar bullshit.
it serves the same role that 'we can see the light at the end of the tunnel' did during Vietnam. What a hated phrase that became.

2. yeah, he's in la-la land. His whole life is based on
a lot of faulty beliefs, chief among them is "people are poor because they're lazy." This is ironic as hell coming from a guy who thinks 4 hours a day doing fundraising is hard work.

The good news is that the tip has happened. People know he's a bungling dimwit who only cares about power and would sell his daughters to a Saudi pervert for another 4 years in office.

5. Yes, because it really means "I don't know what I'm talking about."
He uses those expressions when he's trying to sell something, and he counts on the idea that "belief" "in my heart" is for many people an adequate substitute for a real argument. It's a very easy way to get around proving your point.
