Are there other discussion boards more progressive than DU?

Where the hate-filled ghouls don't hang out?

Really, some of the performances I've seen at DU in the last few days make me want to be elsewhere.

I'm prepared to get flamed by the knuckleheads, but I am serious: Where else can I go?

Oddly enough, this is the same problem I have with the Democratic Party. Go figger.

(I no longer have much of an idea of what "progressive" means, given that in today's Amerika, not lighting your neighbor on fire might be considered progressive by some....)

Cause' bullies everywhere will always seek to build cultures for company around themselves.Bullies seek the company of enablers,cruel comics, bystanders and people who support their antics by proxy and enjoy trollish bullshit..
Be they bullies enablers or bystanders on the left or right.
Some people cannot agree to disagree too and they get defensive and project this is not just a right wing problem..

It's a group dynamic/ human problem..caused when bullies interact in a group with SOME personality types in other people that cause this dynamic.Bullies and other people with boundary problems are quite common.

5. Compared to most discussion sites, DU is Rainbow Brite's Happy Meadow.

Just about every place I've ever gone to talk politics is much more rough 'n tumble than this place. Anyone else remember the early days of Usenet?

If anyone really, really pushes your buttons, just use the twitfilter.

Most of the members are from the old Michael Moore BB. I'm not going to guarantee that it is more civil but it is definitely more progressive. Also, the board runs without a lot of rules which often equals more leeway for discussion.
