Predicted Iraqi Election Outcome (Looks alot like Italy)
Edited on Tue Dec-13-05 03:08 PM by ECH1969
So this is how the Iraqi election on Thursday might turn out. Two opinion polls this week suggest when the votes are counted, the results will look something like:

Shiite Islamic Coalition: 30 to 35 percent

Ayad Allawi (secular nationalist slate): 20 percent

Kurdish parties: 16 percent

Sunni Parties: 16 percent

Other small parties will fight for the scraps.

The game to watch: How will the government be formed? The slates will have to create a two-thirds majority to forge a government...but how will they do it?

Watch Allawi try to split the Shiite coalition and break away some of the moderates.

5. "KKKarl's Boy"
I wonder how many U.S. tax dollars have been funneled into Allawi's campaign? And how difficult a race has it been for KKKarl, the "man behind the curtain"?
